This is a basic deck designed to draw cards, control your opponents spell casting abilities while burning their life and creatures away.  It's cheap to build and a great starter deck for anyone looking to build a deck with punch and power.

This deck uses mostly SOM uncommons and some M11 commons/uncommons.  Aside from [CARD]Koth of the Hammer[/CARD] and [CARD]Garruk Wildspeaker[/CARD] for mana it's fairly inexpensive to build and is great against the current SOM block.

This is a deck that came from a late night idea to make a new deck while looking through my cards.  It's a pretty effective deck for creating large amounts of artifact creature and others that get benefits from metalcraft, battlecry or some other ability.  The name I've given this deck is:

I loved this deck; once I read the article I hoped on MTGO and built it for under 5 tix. After a few plays I started to customize the deck. Here is what I came up with:

Been enjoying the post MBS world of Magic.  However, work is keeping me very busy (though while I'm working I'm thinking too much about Magic).

I've also been diving into MSS drafting a lot more and I think my Magic is improving as a result.  Still pretty scrubby, but at least my understanding seems to improve and I am much more comfortable playing draft than I've ever been.

Two weeks ago I started looking at the block constructed decks that have been getting played.  While Mono-Black Infect seems to be going 4-0 the most, I'm convinced that Blue Black Control (Commando) is the best deck in Block.  Will have to watch more (and hopefully play more) matches to better understand the real story.
