OH RLY! That is all! That is right. Apparently, the World of Warcraft Realms are under maintenance (like they always are Tuesday morning but I forgot) so I find myself bored before an important interview and then work. So, deck building. Very Strange.

Anyone have any deck lists for a wolf-based deck? I have one in the works that needs major help.

I'll probably roll up my Gnome Bard NPC I need for next Sunday to keep the party alive.

So, yeah.  I like playing Magic, and have off and on since around 1994.  I like a lot of what's gone on with the game recently, though some of the stuff is way too overpowered, and there's quite a bit of filler cards.  In general, I thought Alara block was good, though Conflux was lacking.  M10 is ok for a core set, and I appreciate the attempt to make it "resonate" with fantasy concepts more.  I thought Lorwyn was great, Morningtide unfortunately didn't keep the tribal concepts going.  Shadowmoor/Eventide...had interesting parts, but so much hybrid is too much hybrid.

Ok so I am wanting to get a new tattoo.  As I think to my self what I want to get I am playing some casual games with friends.  I look down at my sleves to see a picture of the Black Lotus.  I think to my self, WOW! That would be great.  So now I find myself go through all my cards trying to find tattooable cards worthy of being permently displayed on my body.  As all of this happens I wonder cards other people would get as a tattoo.  Suggestions are welcome here!

(Alot of reading incoming, you have been warned.)

Introduction:

How are you all doing, I am a VCL for the Deck Critique: Sanctioned Tournament section of the MTG boards. While most of you might not know me, I have been apart of the wizard boards for quite along time. Although I dont remember the exact time I started posting is unknown I do remember I had three to four names before I settled on Cageofpanacakes and began posting I have been playing magic since Mercadian Masques so I guess I started playing magic when I was 10. That being said I think I first started reading through the forums around 02-03.

When it comes to my strong point playing Magic, I can honestly say that it shifts depending on what I feel like doing. I shift between standard/Extended and limited quite alot. I do

I like Lorwyn. I hate what it offers Standard right now. I would say that the Vivid Lands are the culprit. While I think 5cc and Faeries were neat decks, they make Standard constructed un-fun. With that said, bring on Zendikar! I'm hoping that creatures continue to get better so if one day they do reprint counterspell, it won't be so bad. I think Baneslayer Angel will still be good in the new Standard, but since it won't have 5cc propping it up, it won't be as good. I'd love to see White continue getting good spells. I'd like to see more uncounterable creatures.

What I honestly wouldn't care to see, Fetch Lands. I though Forsythe said they didn't want Lands to hurt you. I thought lands were supposed to have mana abilities. How about just reprinting dual lands. :-) I'll just dream big,

Just finished up another great session of Monday night Multiplayer. After almost a decade of fun, I've decided to take some notes on our games and share the excitement. The first game of the evening we decided to try to play a quick 5-points (star) format with no deck/color restrictions. My opponents were Karl playing Naya Beatdown and O.P playing a Boros-colored deck of mine, while my non-opponents were Nicky playing White-Green and Zach also in Naya colors. The game started with Karl's Naya deck fast out of the gate with a pair of Woolly Thoctars, which did some early damage. however, when O.P. slapped down a pair of Sulfur Elementals, the small white creatures all died and the large white creatures lost their defensive strength, and the game slowed down a bit. I was playing a new Izzet

This week's TT is up over at Star City:

www.starcitygames.com/magic/standard/179...

Just saw that Friday's Magic Show will give us five new cards, including Electropotence, the card mentioned in MaRo's article this week.  If Electropotence was a sort of red Necro / Bargain variant, how weak would it have to be before it would become unplayable?

Guess we'll find out Friday.

Watching Rave Master.  I have no idea what this show is about.

Someone on Sally just made an interesting point -- that if you cast Warp World and get Valakut and seven Mountains, you do 21 damage to your opponent.  Makes a bloke think.   Unfortunately, you can't just build a deck like Seismic Swans where you have 40-some lands.

Hrm, or can you?

Something to ponder over.

When Exodus comes out online, there will be a nice exposion of cards for the classic card pool. One of them is Limited Resources, which is banned in EDH. With the casting cost and 2-headed giant rules online, this card could cause headaches for players. Knowing this, would you play this card in a deck or frown when seeing it?
