2012 Magic Online Championship Series Updates
The 2012 Magic Online Championship Series is winding down and there are only a few invitations left to earn! First up, Season 12 ends with tomorrow's downtime and the Season 12 Championship is this Saturday, December 8, at 11:00 AM. The Season 12 Championship will be available in the Scheduled Events room after tomorrow's downtime. All players who have earned at least 15 Season 12 Qualifier Points can join and try to win an invitation to the Magic Online Championship to be held in 2013. Magic Online Championship Series Season 10 Coverage
Rashad Miller's coverage of the MOCS Season 10 Championship is now available! Out of the 459-players that participated in the Return to Ravnica Limited format MOCS Season 10 Championship that took place on October 13, only one player survived. Check out the Top 8 Draft video to see who came out on top.
After you are done watching the coverage, don't forget that the MOCS Season 12 Championship is right around the corner on December 8. You still have time to earn 15 qualifying points before Wednesday, December 5 to qualify. The championship format is Return to Ravnica Sealed and the promo card is a modern-frame Hermit Druid.

The Magic Online Masters Edition Flashback starts after tomorrow's downtime! Masters Edition "Block" 4-Booster Sealed queues begin right after our downtime ends. Masters Edition, Masters Edition II, Masters Edition III, and Masters Edition IV 64-Player Top 8 Drafts run throughout the long holiday weekend, starting at 12:00 AM this Thursday. Daily Event Size Increase
Due to increased demand, we are temporarily increasing the sizes of all daily events to 256 players to ensure that players who want to play in an event have that opportunity! Going forward, we will evaluate our tournament structures and make sure that they are meeting both our and our players’ needs and make changes as necessary. Good luck and have fun!
Update to Pro Tour Qualifier and Magic Online Championship Series Events
In order to improve players experience and mitigate a potential issue when cutting to the Top 8 playoff in PTQs and MOCS Championships (and LCQs), we have changed the timers for the first pick from each pack in the Top 8 draft to 3 minutes. Attention PTQ players,
Due a couple separate issues, we are modifying the November 11 PTQ. First, to account for increasing popularity of this event, we have increased the maximum players to 1024 and should ensure that players who want to enter can. We have also set the event to be 11 rounds regardless of attendance, which will ensure that all players with 1 loss or less will end up in the Top 8. Once the 11 Swiss rounds are complete, prizes for 9th – 256th place will be distributed automatically.
Second, in order to mitigate a potential issue with very large limited events cutting to a Top 8 draft, we will be manually creating the Top 8 draft. This means that the Top 8 players need to remain in the Scheduled Events room after the Swiss portion ends so they can be contacted by a ...

Daylight Saving this Weekend
Reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 4, and we will be "falling back". This means that at 2:00 AM PDT the time will become 1:00 AM PST (UTC -8 hours). This also means that there will be a gap in events for the second 1:00 AM hour. Make sure you plan accordingly.
Less Than a Week Until Redemption Product Rotation

Community Cup Events are This Week!
The Community Cup Team has been announced, the Wizards Team has been announced, what's left? Only a battle of epic proportions. Who will win? Many say the answer is already known; yet we fight because giving out a Sorrow's Path would be so sweet. Check out the full details here.
