After rather a long time of dozing, the not very good chronicler at last awakens with a snort.  Destruction walks the planes, and the first ruin lies in the wake of the everlasting planar war.  With quill in hand, the day of end is noted in the tale of the 6th war.

Kelket stood atop a ruined wall of the Grand Fortress of Gehenna, staring down at the battered mountainside. His forces had finished salvaging whatever supplies they could from the Phyrexian stores, and had already rendezvoused at a camp set up among the steppes well away from the three mountains that made up the stronghold of Gehenna. The Dice Gods only knew, this war was far from over and the Coalition would need everything they could get. While the armies surrounding ...

After returning to the plane of Dominaria the Phyrexian leadership found its armies in disarray. Trying to shift the tide of the war, the Chief Praetor organised a war council with his Praetors and Evincars as well as lower ranked officers who showed promise. An urgent plan was devised and set into motion. The Phyrexian armies were to release control of border territories, leaving behind scarce troops to perform skirmish attacks during the night, hopefully buying enough time to regroup the forces and strengthen the inner defences. Four plague bomb supply routes were created, one for each remaining portal and conscription was ordered throughout all occupied territories to increase the troop count.

The skirmish attacks worked like a charm and bought Phyrexia more than enough time.

When Phyrexia reached the plane of Dominaria, they didn't expect to find anything that could pose a threat, just barbarian tribes, easy to conquer. The forces that once defeated them in the 4th war softened by peaceful living - it was supposed to be an easy step towards the Grand Evolution.

The first Phyrexian attacks in Dominaria began as expected. None were prepared as portal ships spewed forth countless armies. The strongholds quickly errected, and the surrounding territories easily conquered. Thus, the entire Phyrexian army was brought unto the plane. They thought that Dominaria was but a quick step and that they are going to create the base camp for the Mirrodin War. However, their opposition proved more cohensive and capable than first

The tales of the entities of the great wars of Dominaria reach far beyond those chronicled in the ongoing wars.  Mighty Generals from across the multiverse and time have risen to fend off the Phyrexian threat.  Woe betide those who would stand in their way.  Under their rule, Dominaria will return to peace and glory once more.

King, as he is known, is a planeswalker of old from Dominaria. As a mortal, he lived about nine thousand years prior to the prospering of the Thran empire. He lived in a time when dragons ruled over Dominaria with an iron fist. His home was that of an island that belonged to a small nation whose name has been long forgotten by history.

King's mortal life was

The war continues raging across the plane of Dominaria, turning ever more in favour of Phyrexia.  Already more than half of the Coalition leaders had been assassinated, their heads now decorate the hallowed halls of the Chief Praetor.  Only this week, Sek'Kuar and the mighty artifical champion Kaldra met their makers at the hand of Tevish Szat and Murica.  Their ruined forces fled from battle, joining other stranglers and defeated in hope of redemption and safety upon the isles of Tolaria.

Yet Phyrexia brings more than death in its wake.  Entire cities have fallen, from important nodes of power and strategic importance as Karesta and Naideia, to the minor townships such as Vodalia that had until now escaped the worst of the fighting.  The devastation

Unit 79236-x3 stood upon the new Phyrexian lands in the seas east of Shiv. Everyone knew of the great victory of Murica in it’s capture, and its resulting ruin.

It was a bright sunny day when the Coalition made their final desperate attempt to retake Naideia. It was a paltry force, barely worthy of considering. As is only fitting, it fell against the might of Phyrexia, and any other that could hinder the grand evolution were keep away by the masterminds of Phyrexia’s forces.

Originally, the entire island was to be destroyed and suck beneath the waves. Already the floating outposts had been destroyed entirely, their remnants long since ejected by the Yamigawa river into the wide oceans. All that was left was to wait for the explosives to arrive to finish the task - specially

There are many tales in the 5th Phyrexian War for Dominaria.  Not all are mighty heroic deeds that are told around campfires.  Some are simply the day to day attempts to survive in this war torn zone.  One such bid was made by Oona, the Queen of Fae.  Persuaded to join the Phyrexians in their invasion, she had spent 40 weeks marching across the plane leaving only death in her wake.  Yet she would soon discover that even the greatest are not free from the twists of fate.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a sad day for Oona, beloved queen of the Fae when the army she commanded lost control of the structure known to the inhabitants as Frank. She had it all planned

Be sure to read The Battle for Karesta - Part V-1 first!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As night fell, both sides finally drew back from the attacks to lick their wounds. Kelket walked as though everything went as planned. But I knew better, from my position I could count the bodies. It would prove another cold and lightless night as the Phyrexians could still attack us from the temple. All we could do was take shelter in the ruined buildings and far streets. Even then, medics had to be stationed with the sentries. It was common to hear the sound of arrows biting into flesh.

Our scouts reported that no reinforcements were forthcoming for either us or the Phyrexians as a mighty storm was brewing just off the coast. It seemed

It was clear to us that Mannichi was desperate to reclaim Karesta, but even he could tell that we all needed to rest. Not that there was much to be had when surrounded by enemies. But we made a mobile camp in the mountains to recover as best we could. Our supplies were few with little forthcoming - Styliane was not the first of our wounded to die, nor the last. The trouble in being in one place for any time was that the makeshift thoctar stables needed to be cleaned. It had been many days since I had last performed such mundane tasks, and after the last battle I was needed something to slow my thoughts.

I took the place of Branko in the task, working with a human herdsman, Credan. An energetic man and full of tall tales, he claimed to have played cards with Teferi and sang a duet with
