The problems really start at the point you think to yourself, "Okay I'd really like to be a LFR GM." There's no real information out there, you have to speak to people who already do it, they are friendly enough but all seem to be a bit precious about it.

Logging on to the DCI website you can see it's ALL about MtG and they've literally shoe-horned the RPGA datapoints in to the MtG format.

I figured out how to take the online open book test and did so, being rather grateful that it was open book, I'd never have passed without them. :)

So then according to the system I was all set up and ready to run private play events for my friends, sanctioning an event was eventually achieved but the site is not entirely intuitive but you can do it with a bit of thought.

Home from GenghisCon 2010 and quite pleased.  This is my 2nd or 3rd time going to this con and the first that I got to do some gaming.  Played in two LFR 4E sessions and DM’d one also.  This is my first time DMing 4E and had a great time.  The players I had were very understanding and put up with me very nicely.  One asked me today if I was running, I hope it was a good sign.   Thistle said I did a good job as she was one of my 7 players (I almost killed her in the first fight).  During a skill challenge had one of the players so brain hurting that he was leaning back rubbing his eyes and just muttering.  I was given a promo for helping out and running, I got the OwlBear figure.  He looks great and makes a nice addition to my mini’s collection.  I’ve got to start getting

If you live anywhere near Norwich, CT and are looking to get in on a sanctioned game; please feel free to check out the sessions that I will be running. The first session will be on 13Feb2010 at Arkham Asylum (Gaming Store) from 5pm-8pm.

Characters will need to be 1st level (if you plan to attend the starting session), and created from the core (PHB 1-3, FR Player's Guide, FR Campaign Settings, ETC.) books. This restriction on sources is reflective of the characters having just begun and not actually being heroes yet.

Characters must be made using the point-buy method (please make allocation notes for faster approval prior to play), to ensure consistence amoung all participants.

The characters will originally meet in Harrowdale (because of it's reputation as a good place for adventurers

I am so excited. Tomorrow I will be taking my first RPGA character to Paragon level. Actually, this is my first character ever to reach Paragon.

Aila Brightstar, my Drow Archer Ranger, will be ending her Heroic career with EAST1-3 Unbidden, in the first slot. And she will commence her Paragon career .

I've decided to go with Race rather than Class when choosing her Paragon Path. Aila was born in the home of a human Ranger in the King's Forest of Cormyr where he kept her largely a secret (though the king and some of the people attached to the king knew). Her mother (who was wounded and pregnant when Pavlo, the ranger, found her and took her in) died in childbirth. And Alia's career began when Pavlo died. A note he wrote before his death lead her to discover the few belongings of her mother
