The WotC Bookclub in November is going to be discussing Jeff Mariotte's Dark Sun novel, City under the Sand. Go check it out!.

Also, for those still interested in the Downshadow discussion, I’m going to be compiling a guide in the forum for handy reference. If you’re still reading and want to discuss it, or you haven’t heard of it before and want to get some thoughts out, check out the guide:

Amigos,

This is an interesting article that points out some of things many people ignore about the coming revolution in publishing

"When their former dictator, Augusto Pinochet, died four years ago, thousands of Chileans poured into the streets to celebrate -- but that's small potatoes compared to the crowds lining up to dance on the grave of traditional book publishing. The industry, we're forever being told, is antiquated and hidebound; it doesn't know how to spot great books or how to deliver them to readers. Fortunately, a tsunami of sparkling new technology is just about to hit those old fogies, washing them from the face of the earth so that the people who know what they're doing can finally take over."

The Tyranny of Ghosts, the third volume in the Legacy of Dhakaan trilogy -- and by extension the sixth book in the story of the shifter, Geth -- is out!. To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to look back on the six Eberron books I've written and share some of the things that pleased me as I was writing them and that you the reader might not have gotten the full story on: throw-away bits, background notes, expanded stories that didn't make it into the novels, that sort of thing.

Of course, none of this is official or canon or anything, but maybe it will inspire your own campaign.

Today's post comes from a question asked by user Magicstar (thanks for the suggestion!)...
