Greetings...

Thanks to everyone who came to Winter Fantasy 2013. We had a great time and we hope that you enjoyed our seven premiere adventures (five "tiered" adventures, one Epic Campaign adventure, and the new Battle Interactive).

Five of these new adventures are now available for public and private events and may be downloaded from livingforgottenrealms.com right now. They are:

CORE5-1 Churning Shadows
by Buddy Arnold and Mickey Tan

The city is overrun by a plague of shadow creatures. You are tasked with rescuing the Cormyrean Ambassador from legions of undead. Will you be able to save innocent lives without becoming one of the living dead yourself? A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in Urmlaspyr for characters of the Heroic tier (levels 1-10). This adventure concludes the

A problem I see with too many GMs is that they show either no interest in getting their players engaged or excited in the game, or they have a strong antipathy to it.

"No excitement please, we're GMs."

They make no real attempt to excite the players, invite the players, or, for that matter, engage the players. If anything they do what they can to bore the players and drive them away from RPGs. It's as if the Ben Stein (qv) school of GMing intended to stifle the hobby and industry and drive it into extinction.

Don't think that's the probem? Then, dammit start entertaining your players. I don't want to hear you recite some prepared text, I want to hear the damn orc.

Sorry, GMs, but you're not a machine reading off a text, you're individuals capable of individual expression. So put it in your ...

Kiss Bells here again... I decided to give you a little insight to what motivates me to what I do as a jester. Because being a jester, let alone a girl is not easy.
There are times where I just want to blow the party up for all the insults or conniving that happens behind my back. Jingles tells me that he created a monster, and that may be true. My temper is as red as my hair and my fuse is short.

Usually when we meet with another group, we warn them that if you stand in front of me, it's your fault that you get hurt. Because I shoot first and ask questions later. I'd rather blast out a fireball and kill the enemy before he get's to me.

My stature is small, I'm barely 5' 2", 90 lbs. I gotta do what's better for my health, than be concerned...

Greetings...

We're very pleased to announce that CORE4-3 Running Amok, by LFR Global Admin Pieter Sleijpen, is now available for download from livingforgottenrealms.com.

We also recently released the second adventure in the Year 4 Elturgard trilogy: ELTU4-2 The Iriaebor Gambit by Amanda Holdridge. This adventure follows the events of ELTU4-1, which was released earlier this month.

Both of these adventures are for characters of the Heroic tier. Here's some more information about them:

CORE4-3 Running Amok
by Pieter Sleijpen

For years the tenuous peace between Netheril and Cormyr held. For years the city of Urmlaspyr, last remnant of free Sembia, lay in between. Now something stirs in the darkest places of the city. Citizens run amok without apparent cause, wielding shadow powers they

Greetings...

Two new adapted adventures are available for immediate download from livingforgottenrealms.com.

ADAP4-2 Stick in the Mud by Aeryn "Blackdirge" Rudel is the first chapter in the Chaos Scar Major Quest. This adventure appears in Dungeon issue 171. The LFR adaptations for the Chaos Scar adventures are located in Elturgard. The Scar was created by the cataclysmic events of the very first LFR Battle Interactive, ADCP2-1 The Paladins' Plague, in which the plagueland near the city of Elturel was transformed into a weapon of mass destruction. Thanks to the efforts of many heroes, the city was saved, but at great cost.

Adapted adventures set in the Chaos Scar can be played alongside the main Elturgard Story Area adventures (ELTU3-X and ELTU4-X) as the plots do not overlap. These

Beneath the streets of Waterdeep, a sinister dungeon awaits adventurers brave enough to face its perils. Created ages ago by the wizard Halaster, the sprawling dungeon is a lair for terrible monsters and ruthless villains. In the dark chambers, they hunger for victims and plot the downfall of those who dwell on the streets above. Who will unravel the twisting labyrinth to reveal its secrets, claim its treasures, and stop the foul machinations of the dungeon's denizens?

The LFR adaptation of the Halls of Undermountain sourcebook is now available for download from the LFR download site at livingforgottenrealms.com! Special thanks to co-author (and former LFR Global Admin) Shawn Merwin for taking the time to adapt this mega-adventure for Living Forgotten Realms.

Because of the size of the

We are pleased to announce the public release of a complete three-part Paragon tier trilogy set in Returned Abeir: the Scions of Hope Major Quest.

We have also released the first chapter of a new series set in Elturgard, which will continue with two more adventures to be released later in 2012, leading up to some very significant events at Winter Fantasy 2013.

Read on for more details, and note that all four of these adventures are available for immediate download from the LFR website at livingforgottenrealms.com.

ABER4-1 The Price of Freedom
by Ryan Cannon and Mickey Tan

Greetings...

"Backlog week" has begun on the LFR website -- we are in the process of releasing about a dozen adventures (and adaptations) along with new (non-draft) versions of all the campaign rules documents. Check back every day from October 1st through October 8th for new content on the LFR download site.

First out of the gate, we complete our Gen Con 2012 premiere releases with SPEC4-5 (released in September but not yet mentioned on this blog) and SPEC4-6 (released today), the first two adventures in the Desolation series.

This series comprises two parallel plot lines: one for Heroic tier (beginning with SPEC4-5 Rising Darkness) and another for Paragon tier (beginning with SPEC4-6 Raging Shadows). These two series will continue with additional adventures well into 2013. We recommend

Continuing with LFR's seven Gen Con 2012 premieres, we are pleased to present a pair of new Heroic-tier Core adventures.

CORE4-1 Eastern Carnivals
by Jesse Benjamin

A carnival in the streets of Shou-Town has attracted the youth of Phsant to a life of performance and travel. But does a darker purpose hide beneath the sights and sounds of the amusements?
