If you have a blog on any site, and agree to post a review on that site about my roleplaying system (of course telling me ahead of time), you'll get a free copy of the pdf! Just shoot me an email at joshupetersen@gmail.com, and in the subject line, put "Blogging Review".
Further, you don't have to be a big-time reviewer to make use of this. If you have a blog, no matter how small, you can hit me up on this. The only rules are this: 1. Your review has to be at least 3 paragrahs, and show you actually looked at the system and not just skimmed. 2. You have to write the review before April 14th. 3. If you say you'll do a review, and then you don't do it, you have to at least toss down the $10 for the reward of the pdf on my kickstarter project (www.kickstarter.com/projects/1783179039/... )...

It is the end, after nearly 1 year the first D&D campaign I ran longer than a few games has, or will be coming to an end.
April 7th will be the final game and I will try and tie up some loose ends, to that end I will start the end on March 24th for those who can make it, the survivors will then be at the end on the 7th. My thoughts are pretty clear on this, there were some things that definately pushed me to make this choice and they came from all different directions. It will give me a chance to refocus on other things after this. This will be a big event to be sure and I am not going to guarrentee the party makes it to the 7th.

A Preface that is really an Afterthought: I wrote this just to get my mind clear on my D&D campaign and it turned into a bit more than just that. After reading through it again I noticed it had a lot of my thoughts about what went into my decision for wanting to end my D&D campaign. I think it was therapeutic and I probably should write more, something I really want to do but fear I am not good at it. It was bound to happen at some point and I dreaded it like it would be the end of the world, and really, it kind of is. I lost the desire to continue dungeon mastering my current D&D campaign that gets run at the game store I work at part-time. This is going to upset a few people; it upsets me since I had some cool ideas for the future. When did I realize that I had these thoughts? ...

OVERALL GOAL: PROVOKE JUDGEMENT & PARTICIPATION FROM PLAYERS
1. Put players into their characters' bodies. Show; never tell. Observations are clues, not answers. The DM is a window, not a character. Because players learn thru what they are shown, describe succinctly as many separate specifics as you can about what the PCs perceive going on around them. This gives the players something with which to work. Avoid multiple specifics about the same thing to avoid slow-down; if the PCs want to know more, they will inspect further. Making the world alive: A. Avoid game terms (ie hit, damage, hp) and automatically naming things encountered. B. Describe using multiple senses. C. Everything has an adjective (be evocative) D. Emphasize what is different about...
The party travels north up the Nentir back towards Fallcrest and beyond that north, along the way they keep catching glimpses of what looks like Lizardfolk along the banks of the river. The Witchlight Fens are home to several tribes, and many travelers have been caught by surprise and gone missing while traveling though these parts.
The party booked passage with a group of halfling river merchents and were acting as crew and body guards to the riverboat. As the days went on they were nearing the edge of the fens when suddenly a large roar filled the air and a dark shadow loomed above them, in the sky a black dragon streaked at the boat, it's acid breath unleashing a torrent of destruction as it ate at the wood frame.
Well that could have happened but instead we had last min...

A few years after 4e came out, I fled the collectible mathematical combat paragraphs and intricate decision-killing synergies to make my own edition of D&D, one that could use, with minimal adjustment, all the edition books and basic box sets of spells and monsters I had. Players use this page instead of the books for the main rules (it is however written with the assumption one knows the very basics). So, for what it's worth:

So today I was able to get Metamorphosis Alpha in physical book form from Lulu!!!
![]() Beats $50.00 or more on ebay for a beat copy!! I have a PDF, but I like to have a real one too! I never had this game back in the day, and only heard tales of it in Dragon magazine. I did get Best of Dragon vol2. I believe and it had some great MA stuff in it that took my Gamma World games in all new directions!! ![]() Oh yeah, waking up naked in the Clone Chamber, then getting attacked my mutants with pointy sticks and metal pipe fittings! Some of my High School buddies still haven't forgivin me for that night!!! Any way, if you'd like to throw a spin on your GW4e game, then pick up the PDF at RPGNOW or Drivethru RPG and with the space stuff in the Legion of Gold book you could really run something pretty...

The ruin fish were easily routed after Demon finished chainsawing the largest one into a gory mess.
A bit more scavenging of the MART turned up a snazzy orange reflective vest for Von Schtupp. The wagon was loaded and they returned to the village of Lake-Pa and an eager Shadar. It was late afternoon as the party and the Junk merchant seperated the goods they had found when a group of children ran by yelling it was "almost time", and "hurry, or we won't get a good seat". Shadar said it was time to close for the afternoon festivities. He led the party to a set of home-made bleachers set up along the southern wall of the village. A ragged man was taking bets from others as the paerty seated themselves. "It should be here any minute." said Shadar as he seated himself and looked to the south west....

Shadar's directions had been hastily scrawled on an old leather hide. Following the the old "Ave" west out of town to "Ol' dix", then a bit south to a "silver street", then west again and the group emerged from the overgrown bush into the ruins of a place called "MART".
The weed choked field in front of the large building was filled with rusted hulks of vehicles from time long past. There were two entrances to the ruin. the northern entrance was blocked by a mountain of shopping carts stacked and strung together with old cable and barb-wire. The southern entrance looked clear. Me-mow scouts out the north entrance and using her "radiohead Alpha" tells the group it is blocked. While Demon and Spectra settle the horses, Von Schtupp meets me-mow at the south entrance. Me-mow scurries up an clings...
