I like Squiggleshit, actually. Considering we're already called Gleemax, I think a stroke of absurdity isn't out of place here. I'll vote to change Yurgulurgul to something more spellable though (yet equally absurd).
Rubik, why the number 47?
47 is a good number. I like 47.
I'd prefer it if the setting was not entirely ridiculous. I never saw Gleemax as absurd, even though I know the origin of the name is stupid. Personally, I vote for Bligh for the main moon, and either Leviathan or Typhon for the gas giant. Yurgulurgul sounds like a bad impersonation of Swedish.
You blew me apart. That's not necessarily fatal.

I'm going to be honest, I hate Bligh because it reminds me of Blech, Blargh, etc. I do like Leviathan for the gas giant, though. For the main moon, I would prefer something like Tabula or Syden, because I don't want the name to be ridiculous, honestly. I believe we're trying to pull away from Gleemax, not be nostalgic of it. The Mountains of GaldeshTo the west of the Kingdom, on it's very own continent of Galdesh, is a series of peaks and forests that would render anyone speechless. The rainforest is a damp, humid place on most days, but full of life and colour. The mountains, depending on their height, are usually cold at the top and only inhabited by those who enjoy isolation. There are several rivers, lakes, streams, and creeks full of fresh, unpolluted water. Usually you can see right to the bottom of any undisturbed water source. Though less civilized than the Kingdom, there are still several different species and races living in the serenity of the mountains. The difference between these people and the people of the Kingdom is that the they are more inclined to be in touch with nature. Having been born on the mountains or in the vast forests, they are more often than not one with nature. If a citizen of Gladesh were to go out to learn magic, it would probably be anything to do with the four elements. However, it is more common for them to simply be apart of nature as oppose to bending it. Some live in isolation and others prefer company. For those who want company, there are several villages built in Galdesh. In the forest many houses are built in hollow trees, or up in the canopy, or simply down on the ground in a natural clearing. On the mountains it is hard to build, so it takes a more intelligent race, but impressive villages can be see hung on the side of the mountains, never very big, but just big enough for socializing. Religion in this area is very diverse, and most just keep it to themselves, so there are no churches and only a very few temples. Most people practice their religion in their own homes. Everyone likes to live in peace in this area, so battles over different religions don't usually take place. It is an unspoken thing, however, that most everyone praises an equivalent of Mother Nature. Galdesh isn't all safe, though. There are plenty of dangers in the forest and on the mountains whether it be animals, a territorial species/races, or even plants, you need to be tough to be apart of Galdesh along side being soft. Most battles only start over territory, but everyone has settled where are for years now, creating a period of peace.
Glare: Rubik can pun all the leave he wishes. I can take the rest of the tree.

I am very fond of the idea of bridging occuring between moons. Also the idea of souls remaining in existance and then getting /yoinked/ to the afterlife after a certain period of time.
I'll attempt to contribute something within the next 24 hours.
@ToEE: Pyrotropy just seems like Thermotropy, or at least a subset of it. Heat can result in light/fire. A combination of Thermotropy and Pneumotropy could easily be used for combustion.

And everything thermotropy does could potentially be achieved with ataxatropy. Although, you'd be stupid to try.
Very good observation, though. Unless I can find a very good reason for pyrotropy to stay in the game (like, a semi-logical one), I might remove it once the time comes to post the whole big thing. Pyrotropy is a very niche aspect if you compare it to the other four "elements", since they sort of represent solid, liquid and gas. I'm not a big fan of plasma magic... >_>'
This is definitely worth philosophizing about, thank you for the comment! I'm assuming it's Niek?

I am not Niek. I finished writing up some ideas quickly. It is all sloppily worded though. If these ideas actually get accepted I can reword it so that it is prettier to read. pastebin.com/fWAAmvAT

I actually love those additions, Sleeping. Just enormous plains with a few fun, very memorable landmarks. Also, I'm always a sucker for legends in fantasy that are actually uncertain whether or not they are true. +1 would read again.

Those are your two things! Might I add they are very fine things at that. Be proud of them. :D All we're waiting for now is Rubik, and we'll probably be good to go.

Thing #2: Currency
The universal currency throughout the system is Odds and Ends.
Odds
Odds serve as small change and exist only exist in coin form.
The denominations of odds are as follows:
1 3 6 15 30 60
Sixty odds make an end.
Ends
Ends serve as bills that represent quantities of 60 odds.
The denominations of ends are as follows:
1 2 10 20 30 50 100 ---
37 odds and 1,678 ends would be written as: 37;1,678 15 odds would be written as: 15;0 50 ends would be written as: 0;50
Somewhere in the system there is an open ended list of all the lies we tell unblinking, thinking, what could we be living?

47 is a good number. I like 47.
89 is a better number.
1) Most commonfolk do not have access to the sorts of technology that brought them to Squiggleshit in the first place. The powerful steamships are rare and expensive, and most persons have access to rudimentary, improvised Steampunk technology at best. As magic dies out, the demand for better tech grows each day, and larger corporations are eager to use that demand for their benefit. Most metals come in shades of brass, most working classmen come home each night covered in oil and soot, and your average mercenary would tell you machine guns and bombs are little more than fairy tells.
2) A collection of pirates, rooted in both air and sea, controls much of the world's northern parts. The collection is led by nine Pirate Lords, the strongest among them known as Admiral Amber Lee, said to have claws for fingers and brass for toes. While many resent the pirates, they are a strong enough force that diplomatic relations with them are maintained by other nations.
