I just noticed something about the item I chose: ============================== Utility Power (Illusion) Encounter (Move Action)Effect: You gain a +2 power bonus to all defenses until the end of this turn, and you shift up to 3 squares. ==============================
What good is that defense bonus? Other than perhaps some environmental effect that targets one of your defenses, the only other attacks you might receive on your turn are opportunity attacts. And since the ability is a shift, you wouldn't draw any through movement. The only other possibility I can think of is OA from making a ranged attack adjacent to an NPC. It would make more sense to me if it lasted until the end of my next turn.
I liked the shift ability because of its synergy with my Fencing Master Boots.

Yeah- seems kind of crappy. You could look at different armor enchants, or a different item.

I'm going to keep it. I still like the armor and its abilties, its just that one aspect that didn't make a lot of sense to me.

If you're next to a defender NPC, they would get an OA on you even though you're shifting. There could be other interrupt type abilities I suppose, but yeah overall it's weak.
You fight for your freedom? Well, I fight for the freedom of all.
