Hooray! Checklist With Pictures!

Very Helpful, Which Is More Than Can Be Said For Official Sources Of Such Information. Mainly Because There Aren't Any.

But Anyway, Celebrations For Those Members Who Are Compiling This Information For The Rest Of Us.
Nice. Perhaps you should make an annotation as to which models are actually repaints.

Thnx
Good thread. Have a

Also, (shameless plug) I have a couple of the Dark Side Marauder promos for sale/trade - anyone can PM me if interested.
So, do we have any information on the Iktotchi purple promo? Is it real?
As real as the picture proof:

No info yet though.

thanks for this easy promo refference post.

Anyone know if the Dark Side Marauder is actually any different to the usual mini? I have a few... but never opened one and it's hidden away in a folded piece of cardboard in each sealed bag.

He's dressed in black, so no, no changes. (I just opened mine to check him out) Doh!!
I thought I'd offer a little with this update:

Good suggestion! I've updated the master list accordingly. :D Thanks!
My vote for this thread to be made sticky.
I do not see the "Battlefront" Mon Cal Merc listed. Or is he the same as the "Hyperspace" one? I do not have the "Hyperspace" one to compare it to. I might be able to get a picture of my "Battlefront" Mon Cal's base if you need it.

By the way, great thread. I am a completist and I need this thread. I also want to see this stickied!
They are one in the same. It was given out to Hyperspace members with their 2005 membership kits. It is stamped with Battlefront on the bottom. Don't really know of any other way of getting it.

-b
Cool, thanks for the help. Some of these are a little tough to track down, but I will find them. I currently have nothing else to trade for and plenty to trade. SO If you've got these check out the link to my trade thread in my sig and see if you have any for trade that I am missing.

Cool. BTW, are they calling that Battle Droid a repaint; IIRC, he is the sort-of-kneeling tan pose from RotS, not repainted.

Thanks to a gracious trade from CalIbors ... we now have pics for the front, base, and package on the Dark Side Marauder:

I, too, would like to give a major "THANK YOU" to UkNephwrack for the hook up with the Dark Side Marauder.

Nice piece, glad to add it to my collection.

Thanks!

Next up - Iktotchi Tech Specialist!

Well guys I just got the Iktotchi Promo in the mail Saturday so it is 100% legit. I was a doubter at first, but Wedge772 showed me the light! To be honest, the pictures really don't do the Promo much justice. In person she appears to be in solid black clothing (actually a really dark blue)...very cool and somewhat stealthy looking. The stamp on the bottom still reveals no clue as to its origins, but my guess would be some sort of RotS pre-release Promo. I also think that it may have came from Australia or the UK. Once again these are just guesses, but it makes me wonder if there aren't a few other secret Promo's floating around.

Different Topic: Any guesses on what the November League Kit Promo will be?
The official rumor is that it will be an AT-AT...SWEET!...LOL! Just kidding. Seriously, my guess is that it will be the Young Jedi Knight.

I'd Both Love And Hate It If They Did A Yuzhaan Vong Warrior Or Promo.

Love It Because It Would Hopefully Be Really Cool (Give It A Shiny Paint Job Like The D&D Nightstalker) And Hate It Because My Chances Of Getting One Would Be Slim To None.

I've Managed To Pick Up A Few Promos, But Seriously, Is There ANY Decent Way Of Getting Them In The U.K.?
Glad to hear Sparks! Waiting on arrival for mine, as well! Can't wait!

Great thread guys. Keep it up!

I really wish they'd add it into the Important Threads Index, as I've asked them to do a couple times now. I really get tired of hunting through the forums here everytime I need to reference this thing! Maybe if a few more of you PM'd that same request in, they'd finally do it...

I'm only a little over half-way done with the promos myself. Based on your experience, what would you guys say are the 3 to 5 hardest promos to acquire?

I would guess the 5 DeAgostini Promo's. They can be found on eBay or on some trade boards from time-to-time, but you will likely over trade or pay a small fortune to get them. Outside of that most are fairly easy to obtain, especially the League Kit Promo's.

Personally, I've had difficulty in trying to attain both of the Dark Side Acolyte Promo's. I know they are out there and if anybody reading this has them by all means please check out my Trade Thread.

Your best bet is eBay, but the trade boards are also a pretty good source. A lot of people have the Promo's available to trade, but I will caution you because some folks don't like to ship internationally. Most sellers on eBay will ship to the UK for a small additional charge. The best way is to check with your LGS to see if they can get the monthly SWM League Kits. I was told that the shop has to be on the WotC Premiere Store list to get the Kits, but I cannot confirm that as fact.

Good Luck in your quest.

I can. ;)
A store must be part of the WotC Premier Store program to get a retailer kit. They need to call their WotC rep to order them.
So I was just searching the completed eBay auctions to surmise the value of the Battle Droid promo (for a potential trade with Mordantos above, coincidentally), when I noticed that there appears to be TWO different ones...

I see auctions listing them as the Miniature League Prizes, as is mentioned in earlier in this thread.

But I also see a couple auctions that list them as 2005 Gen Con promos (from August), which appear to be bagged and with stat card, ala the C3 Nautolan Soldier promo. Check it out here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Gencon-05-Promo-Star-Wars-Mini-Battle-Droid_W0QQitemZ8707123554QQcategoryZ2537QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

So are there actually two different BD promos?
So are there actually two different BD promos?

I asked for a Promo at GenCon '05 and they said that they didn't have any to distribute. Although I suspect there could have been a few of the May League Kit Promo's floating around. I've seen Wizards bring remaining free stuff from older promotions, perhaps just to get rid of it. Although with eBay it could just be posted wrong. I've seen the Nautolan C3 Promo listed as a GenCon '05 piece too. So it was either a mix up on the seller's part or WotC did hand out some remaining Promo's from other sources. I did not attend until day 2, so maybe they were out by then, but if it were an actual GenCon piece they would have plenty.

Anyway, I'm like 99% sure there is only one Battle Droid Promo.

JediMAC,

That appears to be the same mini promo from the retailer kit earlier this year. These are in vast abundance. I could have gotten as many as I wanted from our local Star Wars club. WOTC sent us an entire box of them to give out at our Summer Social. They probably just have overstock and figured this would be a good time to give them away. of course, this is all moot, once someone comes on here and provides visual documentation that it is indeed a different paint app or date stamp on the base.

Anyone?

Sparks, good recon.

This would make a good addition to the stickied indices at the top of the forum.

With a little update for the November League Kit promo - Rodian Black Sun Vigo.
[ ] Mon Calamari Mercenary: Source: Hyperspace Membership 2005 (Images: Front, Back, Base)

I believe this mini is also shipping with the actual Battlefront II video games too, from what I've heard (which is what's actually listed on it's base)

Are all SW Fan Club members receiving those, or just newly joined members? I've had an active membership there since inception, but they only send me a new membership kit about every 3 years or so... Has anyone else received theirs from the Fan Club yet?

Also, an English fella on the trading boards is pitching his Tusken Raider promo (presumably the Lotus Noir version) as a repaint. I've never heard of that being a repaint before. The guy's just mistaken, right?

Thanks for any info fellas...

Both of the Tusken Promo's are actually painted a little better from a shadowing prospective. In all honesty I think they are just given a darker "wash" (sorry for the miniature paint terminology), which basically is just a technique where colored water is applied to a fully painted miniature. All-in-all I think it does make the miniature look better, but I stake no claim in stating the Tusken is a handsom fella...... LOL!

Female Tusken: "Your bandages...they're so...dirty."
Male Tusken: "Are they now?" :inlove:

I have no idea what that means, but it sounded funny when I said it to myself.

Really? That's news to me. At my local Fry's, there were only two versions of Battlefront II to purchase: PC-CDROM and PC-DVD. Both of which did NOT contain a bundled mini. Do you have a website or photo that could provide more light?

Are all SW Fan Club members receiving those, or just newly joined members? I've had an active membership there since inception, but they only send me a new membership kit about every 3 years or so... Has anyone else received theirs from the Fan Club yet?

The official fan club has been far from perfect on distribution of the kits ... especially if you changed addresses at some point along the way. But if you were an active member, then, yes, you should have received the yearly kit. If you wrote to the fan club, they'd probably be able to square things away.

To my knowledge, despite saying "Battlefront", this promo was only available through the Official Star Wars Fan Club ("Hyperspace"). Again, information from an official website or photo could shed some more light and squash any rumors.

Cheers!
I've exchanged a couple more PMs with the English fella, and he's basically saying the paint job is just much crisper, and with a better wash on it (yes, I do know that term, Sparks ;)). It also has the standard promo base from the domestic (U.S.) promo release, so that's apparently all that it is.

Also, I'll have to check around some of the collecting boards to confirm that Battlefront game pack-in discussion that I'm pretty sure I'd been hearing - to the point that I put up some "Want" posts in some of the video game threads to see if anyone had one to spare. Treat that as a rumor for now, and I'll let you guys know if I can dig up anything more concrete on that one. Thanks for the input though.

As for those membership kits, the Fan Club has been notorious over the years for not sending those out to the vast majority of their members. I've only moved once in the past 10 years, but still only got 2 or 3 sets over that time. Basically, you have to contact and hound them into getting your kit. They're trying to get better at it over the last year under their new ownership, so we'll see how that goes...

[ ] Battle Droid: Source: SWM League Prize Kit - May 2005 (Images: Front, Back, Base) - *REPAINT*

I can't remember if I already asked this, but is this mini confirmed as an actual repaint, as is stated above? Everything I've read, and all the trading posts I've seen on it treat it as a regular promo, but don't mention it as being a repaint. If anyone knows for sure, drop me a line please, since the repaints really take priority for me right now. Thanks!

- Matt
I can't remember if I already asked this, but is this mini confirmed as an actual repaint, as is stated above?

I compared the BD Promo sculpt with the RotS #25 BD sculpt and they look identical. I got my BD Promo first hand fresh out of the League Kit package from my LGS way back in May '05 . I've not seen a different BD Promo, but it might be out there.

I am having a heck of time trying to obtain either of the above mentioned Dark Side Acolyte Promo's. Is it just me or are they really difficult to find? I thought the DeAgostini Promo's would be the most difficult, but I actually got those fairly easy...once I *coughed* over the big bucks. I check the trade boards almost daily and I check EBAY at least once a week, but no such luck.

If anybody has the Clone Strike DSA Promo's and wants to sell or trade them let me know...I can hook you up big time. Check my trade thread and send me a PM if you are interested.

All this CS and AT-AT talk got me thinking we need to bump up the promo thread too, so more topics of speculation can run rampant.

Anyone else notice there are a ton more eBay auctions this month for the November league kit?
