I have a question regarding cards like Disciple of Griselbrand.
Since sacrificing a creature is part of the cost, I understand that no one can respond to the activiation of the ability. However, can any response effect the toughness of the creature upon resolution of the ability? Put two different ways:
If the sacrificed creature was a 1/1 (non-token) with 3 +1 / +1 counters on it, the toughness at the time of resolution of Disciple's ability is 4, correct? Could a card like Giant Growth increase it before resolution?
If the sacrified creature was a 6/6 (non-token) with no counters on it, is there any way opponents could respond with a card like Sudden Spoiling? I assume not, since even with Split Second, the sacrified creature is no longer on the battlefield to be affected, correct? If my opponent exiled my graveyard as a response, would that affect it?
