Don't call it a generator, but...

It's huge. It's kind of slow, but it works, mostly. May I present my character sheet [links below]

I want you to tell me every mistake I've made, and if you're a better programmer than me, why not try and tidy up that code. I stole a few ideas (and parts of images) from other character sheets around here. Thanks to everyone else who made this possible. Now, criticise!

Edit: SagaSheet 1.4

Hey, guys, let me give you the lowdown.

I've been working hard on the sheet over the past few weeks, trying to make it more user-friendly as well as updating it with the new material. I think that I've made big improvements in a lot of areas, but with the big changes are bound to come a whole Huttload of bugs.

Coincidentally, I have exams coming up in the next two weeks. It's strange to think that I started this sheet before starting uni, and these are my third year exams (and if they go well, I get to go to Harvard next year! Laughing). The downside of that is that I won't have time to work on the sheet, which also means that I haven't updated a lot of the little bugs that you guys have mentioned over the past few pages. The upside is that while I'm away, you can delve deeply into the sheet and tear it up, giving me lots of fun new work after I've finished my exams (and the subsequent celebrations).

There isn't import/export support at the moment. I'm considering moving in a whole new direction for that function - importing from the statblock format that the sheet produces. Ambitious, perhaps, but it would hopefully make the sheet a lot more cross-compatible with other products. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this sort of thing.

So, what I'm giving you is edition 1.4, and it is essentially beta. 1.41 (and probably 1.42) will hopefully be more stable (and probably slightly sleeker). I'll leave the link up for the older version.

I hope you guys understand my decision here. I'm doing this out of my own free time, and sometimes that free time just isn't there.

Thanks.

Version 1.31b

Ship Sheet 1.0 Beta

SagaSheet
I'm having a problem with levelling up as a Force Prodigy. I can't seem to go past level 6 in this class. "20 Force Prodigy" disappears off the drop down list on level 7.
It also appears Force Prodigy is not getting class feats at every even level.
Also, Force Prodigy should get 4 + INT modifier for skills and instead is only getting 2 + INT modifier.
The multiclass feat pop-up doesn't appear reliably.
The multiclass feat pop-up doesn't appear reliably.

I've seen this too with the latest build. Even when I clear all the feats the popup does not reliably show up.

Note: I saw this on a Non-Heroic/Soldier build, which means I could be wrong in the fact that Non-Heroic classes do not count toward multiclassing but that just sounds really wierd rules-wise.

That's the only bug I've see so far with this latest build.
I've noticed that it gives non-Heroics Force Points. Haven't checked for Creatures yet.
How easy wouldit be to add in this house rule? Not asking you to do so Broki, just looking for a bit of advice so that I may do so.

- Allow all classes with bonus feats to take Skill Training and Skill Focus for class skills.

I'm assuming it would be a matter of adding in those two feats for each base class?

Couldn't you just add that in on the GM Bonus tab without any trouble?
If I didn't want to take them as multiclass feats, yes. Guess I should have rephrased it as, "How easy is it to allow bonus feats as muliticlass feats?" If there was an option to take no feat at all when multiclassing, even though there might be one available, that would work too.
Any ideas on fixing the Force Prodigy issues?
Version 1.16

I added an Import/Export function that will probably cause more headaches than it's worth, and hopefully fixed the Force Prodigy issues.

I might be out of action for a while now; I'm starting University tomorrow, so might actually have a life in the way of the sheet.

Keep the bug reports up anyway, I really enjoy working on this sheet for some reason ;)
You are absolutely golden man, this is a ton of effort. Thank you again!

I must say you do impressive work for a freshman college student. I think you have a talent here and hope you go into computers or accounting.
OK, Force Prodigy works better except that it is allowing all feats that you meet the prerequisites for to be selected as class bonus feats.
the clear class button is still giving that runtime error #28 out of stack

Lots of things seem to do that. I click end and try again and it usually works. I think the stacks not clearing properly

What shhet do you use
I'm pretty sure the sheets are just images scaled to fit perfectly with Excel cells. Play with the sheet's jpg or somesuch in Excel, and you should get it.
I used a sheet that I made myself. I used some of my own ideas and some ideas that I found from various sheets floating on this board. If you would like a copy, just pm me.
For Beasts the Scent ability reads as the Rend ability.
I haven't figured out why this is, but there are circumstances under which a human character without any armor can end up with low-light vision (in 1.16).
Ok I'm at my wits end here. Everytime I try to open the sheet in excel 2007 I keep getting the following message:

-Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content.

-This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features.

I've already enabled Macros and ActiveX controls and place the sheet in my trusted content folders and it still gives the same message. While the file opens, none of the selector tabs work (i.e. race selection, level selection etc.)

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated.

redownload it. it must be corrupt. I can open it fine in 2007
Selecting one of the talents that let you replace one skill for another, like Force Pilot, should allow you to take feats, talents, etc. with the prerequisite of having the replaced skill trained.

For example, a Jedi character not trained in Pilot who has Force Pilot should be able to take Vehicular Combat.

Link to the post by WizO_the_Hutt stating this.
Hmmm.... found an interesting way to cheat without using the "Bonus" section. You can all skills simply by creating your character then lowering the intelligence. This causes the skills to go into negatives, from there you can select more skills (The fields are open) and cause the number available to go down. It shows all the skills you selected on the character sheet/stat block with all the proper bonuses.

Did I get that clear enough? Its 8:00am where I am....

Oh, and the (misc) bonus to Damage threshold isn't showing on the sheet when you take Improved Damage Threshold.
Lots of things seem to do that. I click end and try again and it usually works. I think the stacks not clearing properly

still doesnt work,

also i liked the way the stat block was displayed in version 1.151 here's an example

Also i feel that the stat block page is to stretched out in 1.16
I've already emailed Kenad Broki on this issue but I am reporting here so anyone who stumbles on it too could confirm.

the talent Impel Ally I doesn't compute. I try to select it and doesn't add up.
Just to let you know when i multiclass in 1.16 i select my multiclass feat but then i add another level in that class and the pop up for selicting your multiclass feat come up again
I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but when you go to the bonus tab to add to your ability scores for completed destiny's it adds 2 for every 1 you put in. Ex. If I add 1 to my 18 Cha, it shows up as 20. If I add 2, it shows 22.

Not that big a deal, but you can't add just one for the Rescue destiny.

***About the post above mine.

I got the same, except that Evey time I went to the feats tab, it kept asking me to pick a multi-class feat for soldier.
Suck it up and drive on.
multiclassing in soldier went fine for me in 1.16. No double pop-up
Just to let you know when i multiclass in 1.16 i select my multiclass feat but then i add another level in that class and the pop up for selicting your multiclass feat come up again

I had the same issue with a Jedi picking up one level in Noble.
I like this generator, but I have made my own character sheet that I like better than Karlauss' and the standard. Is there an easy way to add my sheet to the possible formats?

I was able to take a PDF and use the capture image copy it to paint and save as BMP (Jpeg). insert another sheet and paste, set the transperency. You will have to go merge cells and put in the formula's to feed of CS 1 and CS 2.

Lastly you will have to go to the stat block tab as well as cs 1 and cs 2 before the info will transfer over due to the macro's and code inplace
Is there anyway to get the char sheet to print out more clearly? I've tried it on two printers and both of them are really fuzzy, and the grey text is too light to read.

I had the same problem until I went into the print setup and changed the dpi to 600.
This is a very minor thing, but there should be a 3rd classification for Sex of "Both/NA". Hutts are hermaphrodites and droids have no sex.
Even though they do not have a Physical gender, they do have a "mental" one.
Who, droids? Hutts?
ye, droids and hutts. They all have a personality, and it leans toward masculin or feminin. I cant remeber any of either who has none of them.

Same Problem here.

More in detail.
1. Level Noble
2. Level Soldier
3. Level Jedi

I always get the muliclass feats of the Soldier...
