New Class: The Sorcerous Sentinel

Holding to my new general policy with my work, the details of this class will no longer be available on site. However, I have found a PDF creator and a place to provide downloads from.

So, here is the link to the Socerous Sentinel, all set up in a PDF. If you have any artwork you'd like to see in it, suggestions, or see any mistakes, please let me know. I'll still watch thus thread for your comments.

The class, the Sorcerous Sentinel, an arcane defender who doesn't actually want to be on the front line.

It's damage prevention, not increase. Though Rod is always going to get smiles at my table...

I don't see anything wrong with an homage to a guy who walks around singing "Do ya' think I'm sexy?!?" But, warding is better than mighty, which you've already changed there.

The class struck me as odd at first, but the more I read it, the more I liked it. I always thought an arcane defender would actually be classified as controller, but it's really just words and nothing else to me, and the direction you've taken here looks good. I'm already seeing a few different ways these powers can be used to develop some interesting flavor characters.
Rod of Return, perhaps?

The concept is interesting and you've done a reasonable job of hybridizing the fighter and wizard classes - but the class could use some unique flavor of its own.
Maybe a paragon path that focuses on interrupting the enemy from range, a paragon path that increases the sentinel's ability to return damage to the enemy while taking damage himself, and a paragon path that adds an additional implement (and a few powers that use that implement) with a unique bonus ability- the implement could be a ranged weapon or a symbol or something (though my vote would be for ranged weapon).
I noticed that I didn't include the Rod's implment enhancement in an at-will. Why do you feall the staff bonus is overpowered. Additionally, if your have a better idea for the orb at-will, I'd be happy to have the suggestions.

The Fighter's best stickyness ability, Combat Challenge, only works once a round. Same goes for the paladin's divine challenge. Of course, his Warded Transfer doesn't pack as mnuch punch as other defender abilities as far as winning the fight, but Warded Transfer isn't his only defensive ability. Alot of powerful defenses are hidden among the Utility powers.

Spell of Security (Level 2 Utility) can help to protect an ally. Protective Wall (Level 6 Utility) can totally prevent an attack by blocking the enmies movement. Magical Escape (Level 10 Utility) Will prevent an attack. Seal of Defense (Level 10 Utility) Offers defense to all near by allies and can force a major attack to miss. Arcane Aborpstion (Level 10 Utility) can protect allies from attacks.

Redirect Attack (Encounter 13) serves a similar function to your Ward, but damages an enemy at the same time. Emergecny Block (Level 16 Utility) Soaks damage for an ally. Same goes for Safeguard Armor of the same level.

Mirror Wall (Level 19 Daily) can be a powerful defensive tool in the right situations. Additionally, all 4 level 22 Utility powers provide powerful defensive tools, especially Perfect Ward, which can mark an entire battlfield and allows you to warded transfer every attack to yourself. Amnesia (Level 25 Daily) isn't defensive directly, but it will hamper an enemies offense.

Either way, if you'd like the offer advice to fix the problems you see, I'd be happy to hear them.

ALso a quick edit. I fixed the HP (was supposed to be 15 not twelve) and added Leather Armor Proficiency.

As for power level... Meh. Not something I'm good ast. Everything looks interesting. So therefore it should be fine.

I've noticed. I've been watchin it. Also, I think Sword Mage probably covers Eldritch Knight pretty well, but i'll consider it.

Hey... Maybe Enigmatic Strike should be "one creature in burst" so it doesn't provoke OA's?

And Ummm... Even a lousy DM would get that the power is clearlt meant to prevent "aggro."

Though the "implement" at-wills may be a little complicated. (eg: You're right.)

You realize that High Crit can proc multiple times on Doppelganger Attack right? That is amazingly sweet. And you get 8x your charisma modifier. That might be too much. (Maybe on a miss you deal your charisma modifier iun damage?)

Okay, made an update. Here it is. Quick overview. Removed implement bonus to at-wills, added implement bonuses to encounter powers, and added a line to Doppleganged attack preventing any critical hit bonus from triggering.

-----Okay, removed all implement bonuses from the at-wills.
-----Reduced the damage on Warding Strike.
-----Changed Enigmatic Strike to a close burst to remove OA's.
-----Altered Ground Shaker to key of of Constitution instead of Dexterity.
-----Corrected duplicated flavor text.
-----Added a line to Doppleganger Attack that dissallows high crit and other benefits granted by critical hits (such as the paragon path abilities, Feat such as Epic Resurgence, Press the Advantage, an the bonus damage granted by a critical hit.
-----I made a fairly glaring ommission in the powers. When I built the class, I intended to add bonuses to various powers based on the implements. I've added them in now.

Added the 4th and final paragon path, the Fate Weaver. I could use somebody to take a look over it. I'm a little worried over the utility and daily power.
