Q: What is an ICD?
An ICD is a thread devoted to a discussion of a single card. It stands for "Individual Card Discussion." In the Future Set Speculation forum, this means a discussion of a yet unreleased card. These threads are made to help organize the discussion, and to keep all information easy to find. These ICDs are compiled in an ICD Index thread, which is made and stickied at the top of this forum whenever rumor season starts for an upcoming set.
Q: Can I start an ICD or an ICD Index thread?
Yes you may. Just be sure to follow a few rules when doing ICD threads:
- Check that no one else has started one. For ICDs, this means searching through the forum, as the ICD Index thread may not be updated at that point in time.
- Regularly update it, especially for ICD Index threads.
Q: An ICD Index Thread has been started, but its creator isn't adding card requests to it. Why?
There are a few possibilities. Firstly, the creator may not be online at that particular period in time, and so has not updated it yet. Secondly, the ICD may be an invalid one.
If this persists for a significant period of time, someone may wish to take over the ICD.
Q: What's 'GILBIC'?
'GILBIC' and its kin are a set of three-letter acronyms commonly used by members of this forum to comment on cards that have been spoiled.
The first letter represents the power level of the card in question, and normally words like 'Good', 'Decent' and 'Bad' are used (represented by 'G', 'D' and 'B' respectively). The third letter represents the format that the commentor is refering to. Commonly mentioned formats are 'Limited' and 'Constructed' ('L' and 'C' respectively). The second letter is always an 'I', representing 'In'.
So 'GILBIC' would mean 'Good in Limited, Bad in Constructed'. BILDIC would mean 'Bad in Limited, Decent in Constructed', etc.
