This thread was created to post your versions of the NPCs found in any of the Forgotten Realms books or magazines. You can also request stats for an NPC. We will keep an index here in the first post which will be updated regularly. This will allow you to easily see what NPCs have already been posted and where to find them. The 3rd Edition Realms NPC Characters threads can be found here (#1) and here (#2).

The way this thread works is simple:
- If you want some stats post your request here.
- If you have an answer to a request or you have some stats of your own work, post it here (to build stats, you can either use the Monster/NPC rules presented in Dungeons Master's Guide page 184 and 186, or you can build NPCs according to the PC rules presented in Player's Handbook).

Well, I like it that Eilistraee is still around, in a way.

I'd consider an Exarch a pretty firm step above a generic monster or NPC, one way or another.

I'd consider this too, yes, but according to the rules, an exarch is just an epic elite monster, effectively.

Just compare Eili with Shuruppak. A few more powers which are slightly more powerful, slightly higher ability scores, and nearly identical defenses.

It works. I like the breakdowns, too.

Though, I'd question the use of the phrase "just" an epic elite monster. Just to keep things within a certain perspective, an individual like that is still a big deal--just as such are PCs who're up to dealing with one (though the only scenario off the top of my head where Eilistraee might spar with typical PCs is if Corellon chose to openly test them).

'Just' in comparison to some solo monsters as Orcus and, likely, deities.

Anyway, I don't share WotC's way of thinking to stat out only the evil guys. That said, Corellon could send Eilistraee to support the PCs in a fight against Lolth, Orcus, or any other Solo monster. And she would be a valuable ally.

Like them, though its unlikely ill ever use them. As a DM i always had trouble running interesting campaigns at such high power level. Normally if my group is dumb enough to face people like Szass Tarm or Manshoon (id never use them ofc, i mean if they seek them actively), then Id just say "Ok, hand me your sheets...."

Though I've no intention to stat out some dabblers who are not epic. Maybe a few that I find interesting. So the NPCs will be anywhere between lvl 21 elite and... well, I placed Ioulaum at lvl 35 solo :D

This is not the ugly brain guy (since we have no psi rules and no elder brain monster), but a humanoid who is more than a mortal but less than a deity. Well, and with spells from Netheril, of course.

I already did Arthindol and Telamont, though I placed them at a level that seems more appropriate to me.

Regarding the Chosen. I think I'll wait till I get my hands on the FRPG, since I heard it contains is a chosen template. However, at the lvl you placed them, they would be more powerful than some greater deities ;)

I'll do what I can with the rest, though most of them are never solo encounters.

Well, basically, you would be right, but...

In 3e dozens of NPCs where more powerful than Orcus, simply because of WotC's policy that archfiends, or cosmic entities, should be in reach of most low-epic characters. And for the fact that this policy is still in their minds, as the 28 solo lvls of Yeenoghu suggest (and thus he's less powerful than a red dragon), I can place him above Orcus without problems (as this was the case in 3e).

The problem is that it's extremely difficult to put all the uber-powerful Realms NPCs within 30 levels. Actually, this is not possible. So don't blame me for making Ioulaum too powerful, blame the guys who are in charge for making Orcus way too weak.
