This thread is for discussion of this week's Uncharted Realms, which goes live Wednesday morning on magicthegathering.com.

Ooooh... Great tension, great form.

Really excited to see the next part.

Thank you for the compliment. I had a really fun time writing it. I think it gets even more awesome in Part 2.

Logged in just to say how much I liked this one. It had me hooked!

Definitely a great start.  Can't wait for part 2!!

Casual player - Occasional FNM's - Prerelease/Release Events as often as I can.

U/W control is my deck of choice, but I'll play anything fun in Legacy.

Thank you. I went into it wanting to explore the idea of what it would actually be like to get through a labyrinth that took many days. The more I thought about it, the more horrific it seemed. I loved solving for the most basic challenges: where would you sleep, how would you get water? There are so many facets of this idea that I could honestly turn it into an entire novella.

And then, I liked the challenge of telling it diary style. How could I create suspense, action, character arc, etc. when everything is being told from hindsight?

I'm glad you are liking it so far. I hope you tune in next week for the electrifying conclusion.
