This is a follow-up to the excellent work done originally by hellmute which got screwed up due to some inadvertent merging of threads.

http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1042176

I will try to collect fan sheets and place them in this post. I made none, so check the links or do a search to find the original author of the sheets. They are in no particular order except for the one I find and add them, so choose the sheet you like best rather than thinking the order is my preference. If you would like you hseet added and It is not in the list below, or have found one you think should be added, please list it and tell what kind of sheet it is, and I will update ASAP when I have time.
4th edition only please, as that will be the only thing I add to the list. Please also indicate if the file requires joining a website to download.

If anyone notice a duplicated sheet link, then please also state so that mirrors can be grouped together in case one site is working and one is not, also leave notice if there is a broken link and it will be removed, or indicated as currently broken for a period pending return to working status prior to the links deletion from this list.

You will need Foxit Reader to open the file. Adobe for some bizarre reason hates it. A lot.

You'll get a 110 error if Adobe is used. Foxit handles the file just fine.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but vertical character sheets often obscure areas of the battlemat in our game. It had to be made horizontal, to make more room for the battlemat, and use up that abundant extra room by the players' elbows.

This is a character sheet I designed--it takes the official 4E PDF/back of PHB sheet, and twists it on its side. I always try to maintain WotC's official style and format, so that it doesn't feel out of place next to older sheets.

http://www.deviantart.com/download/98229869/Custom_DnD_4E_Character_Sheet_by_Misterfido.pdf

I think that Wizards' new storebought character sheet is horizontal like this. But I've never seen it--I made this on my own.

That's not all I changed, since this is actually a hobby of mine (long time sheet maker, first time poster XD):

Show
* Remove the "Mod + 1/2 lvl" from the ability score section. Most places where ability scores are written elsewhere on the sheet ALREADY have a +1/2 lvl slot. Removing this section made level up quicker, and I've had no trouble with people adding their 1/2 level to everything else. In a math-deficient group, too.

* Hit point box: Larger, so that people don't constantly erase the same spot on the sheet--making a dark gray smudge that wears through the paper.

* Current surge uses: Made into a checkbox. Easier to track, less erasing the same spot on the sheet over and over (see hit points).

* Removed "Second Wind 1/Encounter". It seemed unnecessary, since "Have I used my second wind this encounter?" seemed something each player could track in their head--even the DM could keep track of a group's second winds! Besides, see the problem with the wearing through the paper in the 'hit point box' section =P

* Removed "Death Saving Throw Failures": Same thing with Second Wind 1/encounter. I can see a larger problem here, since death saving throws carry over between bouts of being unconscious, but nobody in my group used that section ANYWAY for tracking that stuff.

* Languages known: Split into six separate lines, for neatness.

* Removed 'current conditions and effects'. Same reasons as second wind 1/encounter.

* Action Points: Now use checkboxes. Same reason as 'current surge uses'.

* Made 'total XP' box larger, on the back. Same reason as current surge uses.

* Made the reflex defense math section include "Shield/" over "Abil"

* One less basic attack slot. Removed for space for feats, but also I've never seen a player with that many basic attacks.

* Added feat slots, so you can go level 1-30, with a bonus feat, without running out of space. If you have two bonus feats... may god have mercy on your soul.

* Labeled feat slots, so that you can tell with a MERE GLANCE whether or not your character has selected the appropriate number of feats for his level. Very important for my group, who tend to forget their feats--or select more than their fair share.

* "Ability Score Mods" removed from racial traits. How often do you change races in 4th edition, and even if you do, can't you just... look it up?

* Power section was very dirty, with lines sticking everywhere. Cleaned up, and I think expanded slightly to accomadate high-level characters.

* Checkboxes removed from power section--this was a personal choice, as my group uses power cards that we flip over when they're used.

* Coins and wealth section made smaller, since I needed room, and I've never seen it fill up, either. I did, however, provide lines and labels to help organize your coins.

* Other Equipment made larger, because I _HAVE_ seen it fill up.

* Character Background was eliminated for much-needed space, but the original four lines available to describe your entire background--which should be inside the head of the player ANYWAY--was silly to begin with.

* Various listed categories had additional lines added, or some lines removed, to make space or eliminate never-used space.

* I reserve the right to say "Oh, forgot about that" if anyone finds something I left out =P

* Original WotC copyright left in place, since the original design was their property, and they can tell me to take it down if they like
Very nice landscape sheet. It is different from the WoTC one, trust me. Theirs was exactly the same, just turned and squished.

I'll have to see if my players prefer this one.

Oh, by the way. You do need more space for Bonus feats. What about a human Wizard or Cleric?

Or Ranger =P

But what are you talking about? It has two bonus feat slots, so it can accommodate it. And it always has. And any evidence you procure to the contrary is therefore falsified, because I had always considered that possibility. Yup. No oversights there.

This is a nice sheet. I'll probably still use necro's, but I could definitely see using this.

Well I just updated it again, having perused necero's and been inspired in a couple areas. He doesn't do this but I put "Ref" next to all the magic items, so that people would be encouraged to write the exact page number of each item, for easy lookup. And I combined the "Race features" and "Class features" into one list.

Edit: Anyone have particular tweaks or suggestions, it's pretty easy to edit the PSDs, save them as PNGs, put them in a PDF... takes a few minutes.
Question: I can't seem to find in that list a standard character sheet that is in the form of a .jpg or some other graphic image. The reason I would request one is that it makes it easy for me to open up in my graphics editor and add a picture of my character into the appropriate spot, then print it out.

Can anyone transform the standard pdf into a .png or .jpg or something for me?

Thanks

Well, I would say that Adobe Acrobat/Foxit/most programs have the ability to take a snapshot of the current image. You could snapshot, open a png/jpg/whatever editor, and paste the snapshot.

Besides that, I know Adobe Acrobat has the ability to Save As... into other formats besides PDF. I don't know about Adobe Reader. And a number of image editors have the ability to import PDFs.

If none of that suits your fancy--and it's a worthy skill to acquire since you might one day want a DIFFERENT character sheet then whichever one you get now--message me your e-mail address and what PDF you want and I'll send you some PNGs.
Easier yet, just open the jpg you want to insert, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into the open pdf. Works like a charm and doesn't require any converting! Then you can move, resize, do whatever you need to with it.

Instead of Ref for the page numbers, which could be confused with Reflex defense, why not just use pg for page?

Because each "Ref" is it's own individual text layer and it would take forever to change them all? =P =P =P

But regardless, fixed.
Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but if it's in the wrong place feel free to move it elsewhere. About a week ago I found a link *somewhere* on this forum to a website that automatically created character sheets for you. You basically filled in some numbers, answered some questions, made a few choices, clicked "done," and it did all the rest. It wasn't a downloadable file, it was a program within the site itself. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hey guys,

Anyone have a nice looking sheet that basically uses a larger font size? I have a player who has a hard time with anything under 12pt or 10pt.
Feel free to add my character booklet if you like!

Verys Arkon's Character Booklet (v2)

Comments are welcome.
I'm looking for a PDF version of the official character sheet with editable fields. No automatic calculations or anything, I just want to keep my character sheet on my computer and update it when I need to so I can print another one out or e-mail it to my DM.
Are any of the links to pdf form fillable 2 page sheets that look like the official 4e sheet from WOTC?

thanks!

Mike

Unfortunately, the fill in sheet is over 7 megs -- Those of you with adobe acrobat can run the optimizer tool on it (experiment to find the right settings, [i]don't remove form data![i]) and it will get quite a bit smaller.

Personally, what I currently use is the first two pages of Kiznit's sheet with a custom power sheet of my own design (just one or more two-column pages of tables made to look similar to the layout in the PHB)
Is anyone going to update their sheets with the Forgotten Realms data?

Please update my entry as follows, notes and all. The notes are essential to use and obtainment of the
