I'm surprised to see Greatsword's damage so much lower than Greataxe... did they change it from 3.5's 2d6?
How can you...
I wonder how the comparison works out between greataxe vs. greatsword + power attack? Especially at paragon and epic tier?
The graph is a nice piece of work. However, it ignores for instance the benefits high crit weapons gain with subsequent tiers. At Paragon the crit is +2[W] and at Epic its +3[W].
Also, you really should have made two graphs, one comparing two handed weapons and versatile weapons held two handed, and another for one handed weapons.
I'm very interested in the tool you're using to compile these. Are you doing it by hand, or did you design a calculating spreadsheet? Oh, god willing- Did you write a program?
Because such things would be invaluable tools for quick, personalized number generation.
Could i please ask for an actualisation with weapons from the adventurer's vault... and maybe taking into account the brutal ones.
Many thanks for this great work.
Do you have a version of that sheet for large weapons? Mordenkrad does .5 avg more damage than Ex Axe when normal, but does 1 more damage average when large. I wonder if that pushes it's graph above Ex Axe.
I have an odd question. How does the Falchion compare to the Fullblade when you factor in Gauntlets of Destruction or the Battle Engineer buff (reroll all 1s)? I'm trying not to spend the feat.
