Has anyone seen or heard about the Sorcerer class build yet? If so where is it?
:heehee
Hee hee hee silly Magmar.
Sorcerers don't really exist.
They just slang to call warlocks or nasty wizards these days.
Actually, on the Empoyee blog and on the future release thread it has been said that the sorcerer build is comming out with Bard and Barbarion. That is why I am asking, yes I can be silly but it is in a future release. The question is has anyone seen the class build yet. Not all are evil or bad warlocks and wizards, that is oppinion.
Sorcerer coming out alongside the barbarian?
Barbarian is coming out in martial power, dude.
Don't think we will be seeing too many sorcerers in thost pages.

What have you been smoking? Barbarian comes out in march with the PHB2, and yes the sorceror, bard, druid, and 4 more classes are coming with it.

P.S. Barbarian is primal, not martial.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did come out with PHB2, but their probably finishing up the bard right now. I'd expect a playtest article for druid or sorce in 2-3 months. But that's just a complete guess

my builds
F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way.

Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken.

Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken.

King Fisher Optimized net user.  Moderate.

Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading.

Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered.

Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square.

Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong.

Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked.

Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic.

Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation.

Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses.

Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat.  One of THE most abusive character in 4e.

Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent.

Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof.

Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it.

Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways.

Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful.

The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken.

Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power.

Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken.

Rune of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered.

Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5.

Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong.

Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight with items, making it far more broken.

Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken.

Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.

A complete quess id better than I have. Does anyone know the release date for PHBII? they have given a prerelease of thr barbarion already, was hoping that they had done the same with sorcerer allready.

I'm smoken a cheap ass mental 100 cig that taste like ass. What are the 4 other classes? I would assume Artificer would be one of them.

Sorry Blowfish, you answered the question of when the books release date is.
Sorcerer is an Arcane Controller in PHB2, there's been no playtest released.
Barbarian is a Primal Striker in PHB2, it had a playtest.
There are no new classes in Martial Power.
PHB2 is coming out summer of 09
Artificer will be released in the Eberron Player's guide (I think this is also 09), like swordmage was Forgotten Realms. It had a playtest.

You can get more details in the "future release" forum, but the other classes are Warden, Avenger, Shaman, and Invoker.

That is true, and the 4E barbarion build looks much better than the past ones.
Releasing the Sorcerer as another arcane controller seems like a fairly stupid idea when further class options for wizard would make more sense. I'd hope they get more imaginative with sorcerers than making them a different pair of builds for wizards. Furthermore, something reminiscent of pre-monster brawler druids as a primal controller would be a much better addition to the game if they needed to stall for time as they reinvented sorcerers. The point of the sorcerer in 3.5 isn't transferable to the new system, so something far more inventive is called for. Weather that takes the form of a different role or a different theme/power source, perhaps only R&D knows.
The Sorcerer has already been confirmed to be an arcane controller, and it has also already been confirmed to be one of the 8 new classes which will be released in the PHB2 (along with the Avenger, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Invoker, Shaman, and Warden, in March, if I'm not mistaken).

There is absolutely zero good reason to believe that the sorcerer will be in any way similar to the wizard just because they share the same role and power source. Take a look at the Ranger and Rogue, for example; the two share the same role and power source as well, but nobody claims they're similar at all. There is nothing stupid about releasing the sorcerer as a second arcane controller.

I realized the ranger/rogue example immediately after posting that. I'll definitely wait and see sorcerer before casting sincere judgments, but the forums are hardly a place were I feel bound by rationality, as I tend to get caught up in the raging chaos of fevered debates.

Which is to say, I'd rather they cast the net wider before including what I feel might be an unnecessary niche, and bring more drastically different classes in the supplements to come. Furthermore, restoring the long lost pacifistic wonder options to the table is something I'd like to see. The many brilliantly entertaining builds from 3.5 that didn't care about damage should start to reappear in a shiny new 4e form, but perhaps I am unusual in that one of my favorite characters of all time never hit anyone during two years of use. Hopefully, the sorcerer will be impressive enough for me to forget about my crazy, crazy dream for awhile.

It's a shame so many people think like that.

Oh so very true. A toast, to the belligerent and irrational!
...

Sorcerors are going to make me cry as I examine how thoroughly neutered they are... I'm going to miss my shapeshifting specialist...

Regardless, I hope they end up Melee Arcane Controllers. I could at least do my usual battlemage routine. No more polymorph... But burning fury might make up for it.

I feel that it is not the build options for the characters that most people have a problem with. It's the assummed availability of an over abundance of magic items. With 3.5 my character, after a little over 2 years, only came across 1 magical item. With 4E magical items are in an abundance, or can be. Now don't get me wrong, I like the changes made to the game, but to many people think that they can have anything and everything they could want just becouse of LVL. Most forget that the basic rules state that not everything is readly available and the DM can restrict everything to cause a PC to search for the base components. The biggest arguement is that an item creats wealth, if you leave out cost of living, maintance of land/home, liscence/permits to adventure, inn stays, wealth of areas is limited and can cause items to be sold for less than full value, and so on. People forget that not everyone seeks to have items that causes thier character to be the "indistructable force". The new and old classes that have been presented to 4E have differant flavor for the game and for the player to use. Not everyone wants the samethings nor do they play the same. Varriety causes players to become creative, and changes the shape of the groups and the out comes. I hope that the game keeps changing as it goes and keeps improving over time. With that I only hope that base rules are clarrified that are causing most of people arguements. Atleast people can not argue about races, classes, and the gender of a character, those are the only base definits of the game, and depend on the players preferances and how they build and play the character.

I have a lot on my mind, sorry, some times I vomit words.
Where is all this misinformation coming from? The PHB2 will be released March 17th of next year, just check amazon for pete's sake. It will include the following classes:

Barbarian
Bard
Sorcerer
Druid
Warden
1 other primal class, yet unconfirmed but probably Shaman
2 new divine classes, names only speculated

Cool, for you spell check standard add on accompany ment, my old puter can not handle any more add ons. I freely admit that my spelling suck. With that in mind, the USMC does not care about spelling, just killing. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

No, the Avenger and Invoker are as confirmed as the Shaman is. In other words, we know that they exist, and chances are that they will be in the PHBII. Not much else is known, though, no, so their power sources and roles are speculation (though going by the names, Divine Striker and Divine Controller are the most popular current speculations).

That's because the USMC is perfectly okay with marines that walk through areas on ships that are clearly marked "danger."

Stupid jarheads :P

Edit: I'm a squid, fyi.

That is true, but remember this, Marrine are to prottect the ship and can shoot anyone that is questionable that is trying to board. OOOps, the poor basturd didn't respond properly, or just looked funny. When alarms sound, drill or not, WE CONTROL THE SHIP. Magnezium grenades do wonders to a ships hull.

Reading on the other hand has nothing to do with spelling, also areas marked danger have other indicaters that are explained durring boot. If the dumb ass goes there and gets offed, he or she deserves it. One less dumb ass I have to deal with, the paper work sucks but that is simpler a task than dealing with said "dumb ass".
