A brief introduction to my campaign setting The Realm of Legends and the world of Colona.
Colona is a hybrid of Gothic Fantasy with some Steam Punk fantasy mixed in to create a fun and unique adventure. Unlike other Gothic Fantasy settings, Horror is not the basic element of the setting. The goal is only to provide players with an abundance of mysterious worlds, dark beings, undead creatures, and forbidden lore to discover. It is not designed to scare or pit players against nigh unbeatable dark lords. However make no mistake the villains are the ones in control. With that said generally things are not so grim overall.
Much like current day political leaders, not all are considered “evil” ...

As promised here is the back drop for the upcoming campaign I will be running. This backdrop is not intended to be a permanent part of my created world.
The nightmare begins...
This campaign will be using my personal Campaign setting. In this setting, the majority of the standard cannon pantheon is now composed of risen mortals, few of whom have even the slightest notion of the powers they truly now wield. The new pantheon is beset from every possible direction by all sorts of demonic forces and power hungry extra planar beings attempted to take advantage of the new gods inexperience. For those who know me from other boards (such as OpenRPG), I had a popular campaign running in my home brew setting for over a year. I have recently, and finally, been playing 4th Edition. Sadly some of the players from that campaign still do not want to cross over to the new Dungeons and Dragons and wish to stay playing Pathfinder (which was the system used for my previous campaign). I do not have issues with Pathfinder but rather I wish to play 4th Edition which I find rather fun. Now I seek others who share my opinions that 4th Edition is fun and see if they wish to join my campaign world. With that said, I have adjusted the time line and setting to better fit 4th Edition.
