At the end of every blog post I write, I finish it with, "And that's the Iowa Perspective." To be fair, I'm from Iowa. But a statement like that demands an explanation. After all, how could I think that I have the right to claim that title, that I speak from a perspective that all Iowans can agree with?

After all, aren't there a myriad of playstyles, a pantheon of player personalities, a plethora of personal points of view? What constitutes the Iowa perspective, out of all of that? And how do I know that I speak in the spirit of it?
