got an answer for the opportunity action vs attack question.
Origional Question. So a buddy of mine is using a spirit companion with a shaman, and it has an opportunity action (not attack) with a trigger of "an enemy leaves a square adj to your spirit companion without shifting". If another player uses forced movement (forcing the enemy to leave a square, be it sliding, pushing, pulling whatever it is) does this provoke the opportunity action (again not attack), we know that the attack doesnt get provoked with forced movement, but we cant find anything about opportunity actions.
Answer 1. If another player uses forced movement (forcing the enemy to leave a square, be it sliding, pushing, pulling whatever it is) does this provoke the opportunity action (again not attack)?
A: Nope. Forced movement does not allow for Opportunity Actions. As per page 212 of the Rules Compendium: No Opportunity Actions - Triggered: When a target is pulled, pushed, or slid, it does not trigger opportunity actions, such as opportunity attacks, that are triggered by movement. This is also the same for Teleportation (pg 214 of the Rules Compendium).
So that being said, no more free oa/heal *coughcheesecoug* on a forced movement *grins*. The stupid thing is, if this rule was updated in the compendium, there would have been no doubt from the begining. Anyways sorry Aurzel heh, but we do know for sure now that forced movement does not provoke opportunity actions (including attacks).

this is true but remember it isnt forced movement if a power says 'the target must move his speed away from you', like my theme. forced movement is a push pull or slide. i didnt realize that was how he was doing it or i would have said something
