My wife graciously let me out of dinner with her parents so I could go down to Donnie’s for a bit of FNM. She’s so spiffy. I show up and the crowd is a little light. I am reminded by Yancy (the store manager) that there is a PTQ in Cincinnati that twelve regulars were going to. I comtemplated going to it but then I realized that I didn’t have a deck offline, I had no understanding of the environment, and I was still pretty sucky. All of this made the prospect of driving fours and spending $100 seem unreasonable.

Despite the fact that a large number of the regulars were not present, we still have a respectable sixteen players. I was faced with a small problem though. I don’t really have any cards other than the ones on MTGO.
