I am so excited. Tomorrow I will be taking my first RPGA character to Paragon level. Actually, this is my first character ever to reach Paragon.
Aila Brightstar, my Drow Archer Ranger, will be ending her Heroic career with EAST1-3 Unbidden, in the first slot. And she will commence her Paragon career .
I've decided to go with Race rather than Class when choosing her Paragon Path. Aila was born in the home of a human Ranger in the King's Forest of Cormyr where he kept her largely a secret (though the king and some of the people attached to the king knew). Her mother (who was wounded and pregnant when Pavlo, the ranger, found her and took her in) died in childbirth. And Alia's career began when Pavlo died. A note he wrote before his death lead her to discover the few belongings of her mother (a woman she knew next to nothing about - in fact, she knew precious little of being a Drow and Pavlo would call her "elfling") in the back room, including her mother's house emblem.
As happenstance would have it, in the last module where I played Aila, she got a Drow House Emblem in her treasure bundle. (I decided it happened to be a match to her mother's.)
So, Curseborn, which is already an awesome paragon path for Drow, is also a wonderful storyline fit. And that's what I chose.
