Hi, after 4 seasons of playing i'm now DMing this season.  Sadly our FLGS hasn't had the full kits delivered to us but we have an overview of what's to come next week for the players.  The thing that bugs all 3 of our DMs is, where exactly is Easting? The description in encounter 1 places it right where Proskur should be on the Toril map, is there information we've not been privvy to that clarifies this or am I wildly off track here?

It's also possible that it's Easting Reach, which is just north of Impiltur, and just a little southwest of Dunwood. www.maplib.net/map.php?id=11367

Easting and Iriaebor are southeast of what is now Elturgard.  The easiest way to find them on the map is to find Westgate, and go straight west from there, along the road.  Easting actually featured in the old video game "Baldur's Gate 2: Dark Alliance".

It should be noted that while I was doing research for the adventure I got three different official maps that moved its location over the specific area - not to surprising since I know they changed the scale of the maps between various editions on purpose. I decided to stick to the 4E product as being leading. One thing that might look a bit odd for example if you use an earlier map is the distance between Easting and the location of the adventure site (older maps placing the village and the trade roads much further to the north in the foothills of the mountains).

I didn't know it featured in Baldur's Gate 2... o well, that computer game is set more than a century before this adventure and a LOT can happen in 100 years

www.wizards.com/dnd/files/dragon/365/365... places it east of Iriaebor, south of the Sunset Mountains.

It isn't. It is certainly more or less where I assumed Easting is located when designing the adventure.

I relooked at the article and yep, you are right. That is the first post-spellplague map of the area. My bad.
