I have to admit - I was kind of embarrassed earlier this season with the maps that came with the new Season 4 materials. So far (In Chapter 1), players explored the ruins of Castle Inverness. With the maps that were provided, it didn't take much for players to choose where they wanted to search! The maps were not of the entire ruins but pieces of the the area. One encounter took place at the fountain, and the map was just the section of where the fountain was located! I ended up using a battlemap for the rest of the ruins and fit the map "piece" into it. Then I made this: www.angelfire.com/tn3/samanthas/images/i...The Map is 22x35. I printed it poster style and then I cut and fit the 12 pieces together to make the large map. I used Wizard's Dungeon Builder using the tiles in that program. I think I printed at 113% to get the squares to be one inch squares when it printed. At least for the beginning of Chapter 2 I will have a map for the entire area. I am not a pro and use Paint (primitive) to make this map. Edit - yes, I know the entrance should be 2 squares (10 feet) wide!

Nice Job, I'll use it to show my players what the settlement looks like after 6 months.

Nice map. Were that I rich I'd print out a color copy. Of course I've been using Borders and B&N 40% and 50% off coupons to get Wilderness sets cheap, so I might be able to just use my own dungeon tiles. Still very cool thanks!

I used PosteRazor to print out the sections, then cut and taped them together. It was great! We had three tables running at the store where I played last night, and ours was the only one with a full size map of Inverness. Everyone agreed the map was a hit. We had monsters all over the map, and I also used the fire markers from GaleForce9 to indicate which buildings were on fire.
Thanks for making this map.

Dumb question - wasn't the original castle outline a square, not a rectangle?
