So, the splash page at www.wizards.com/dnd says that this week exploration of the ruins surrounding the missing Ghost Tower of Inverness will begin. I'm surprised and excited that the characters will be ariving at the ruins so soon, expecting the ruins to be the crescendo only reached until the third act.
I'm going in with the pre-made Keira and plan to use as many of her tricks and mine in ferreting out problems before they find us.
What about the rest of you?

Brand (my hunter) is all about exploration and civilizing the wild so I hope to forestall (preempt) problems with amazing senses, skill and lightning quick archery...
Or something like that.

I have this background for the character I made-up where she is going to this supposedly haunted ruin because of guilt over the death of a child. If she comes across any ghosts she'll throw herself before them and plead to know about the him. Should be entertaining.

The characters at our tables have really gotten into the background element of this game. We have a prospective Tiefling Beer Baron of Inveriness. A priest of Pelor with visions of a Temple on a Mountain. Drow Hunter that wants to be a Dwarf - war orphan raised by Dwarves and looking for acceptance. An undead hunter that is looking to cleanse the world. An character that is the descent of the adventurers that first explored the Ghost Tower of Inveriness - his actual character from the original module being of the adventurers. This roleplaying elements have been strong and a real cool side of this season.
