The self-flagellation of D&D fans never ceases to amaze me. There are people on this very forum who are convinced that Wizards' inability to produce timely character builder updates is somehow OUR fault. "They never promised us they would update every month!" a poster will say. They'll then go on to chide everyone for having unrealistic expectations and succumbing to the culture of instant gratification.
This seems pretty startling to those of us who believe that for-profit organizations should have to earn their customers money. To the rest of the world, it makes sense to get upset when you pay a company and they drop the ball on a service you expected them to provide. We
