Community

So one of my resolutions this year was to watch more anime (my wife willing).  I used to be a prolific consumer of all things drawn by asians whether static or moving.  It started back when I was a wee laddie and I sat mesmerized by Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato).  That was closely followed by the likes of Voltron (lions and cars), Battle of the Planets/G-Force (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman), and Tranzor Z (Mazinger Z).  After that, it was Robotech.  Then suddenly such shows went off the air and nothing else really popped up.

Enter college.  I started college right at the start of American anime distribution when there were few choices of what was commercially available.  If anyone knows the name US Renditions then you know what I'm talking about.  i paid $75 for that one
