Not talking specifically about classes but that comes in also. Specifically I'm looking at magic items/potions etc. Personally I prefer something closer to Greyhawk than has been the standard in recent years.
Alchemist shop selling charms, reagents and maybe some potions - sure thing love it.
Ye- Olde Magic Emporium selling all kinds of magic doodads and gewgaws no thanks.
Now some things I think should fall under masterwork and work similar to what has been magic in the past. A suit of finely crafted mail fit for a prince and crafted by the best dwarven armorsmiths- sign me up fo that. A one of a kind sword made by the world renowned swordsmith Musashi which can cut through three men at a blow AWESOME. But they should be RARE and not for sale and in some cases the TRUE owners should be looking for them if they are randomly found.
I like my fantasy closer to the Hobbit than Magitech- not that I am condemning those who prefer the other way around just my personal preference.

Gord goes to a magical item auction in the signature novel series for the Greyhawk line as written by Gygax.
I am of the fundamental belief that if fungible goods with useful utility exists, there will be trade for said goods. Hence, I like the magic item economy.

I'm with Stoloc on this mainly. There will be the exceptional piece that someone simply doesn't need that can be brokered, but you'll never find anyone with the resources to have a 'shop' of these items. And, given 2E creation rules, you'll -never ever- find someone having a shop of their own!
COMMON potions can be obtained by the (very) small handful, but anything beyond your basic 'healing' or other level 1-style potions will be exorbitant and rare. Again...as per my 2E style.

All of them
Sometimes I like to play a game where Jogny has the only magic sword and potion within 10,000 miles.
Sometimes I want glow like a Christmas Tree and blind the dragon with a my vampire-like sparkliness.

I prefer low magic where potions, philters and the simplest magic item can often be found in Alchimist shops and Druid grove or rarely in merchant stans and that the bulk of magic items and artifact remains rarer and found by only the bravest adventurers.
At least in smaller cities and villages. Big Metropolis such as Waterdeep may have Wizards possibly having more stuff available. So is Sigil or the City of Brass.

I like as close to zero magic items as possible, including no potions, scrolls, wands, etc. If magic items exist, they are either MacGuffins, or they are legendary and have unique powers beyond just +X to Y.
I also like spellcasters to be super rare and terrifying to the average person. I like the Sword and Sorcery and/or Mythic feel in which magic is dark and dangerous and invariably tied to evil cults. The PCs can be spellcasters (sometimes--I occasionally ban them entirely), but they are likely to be the only friendly spellcasters they ever encounter. Maybe an ancient and powerful wizard lives in that lonely tower in the wastes, but he's neutral at best, and getting to him and convincing him to help are quests in their own right.
So, yeah, the lowest magic level possible, I guess, that isn't "none."

Depends on the setting. Though I like to hop between varying levels for the different feel.

I kind of like how The Elder Scrolls handles magic items, with only a handful being held by merchants and all of them being enormously expensive. Unique and legendary items should be the focus of quests, not made in China.
Although, as a campaign setting, I like Eberron -- it's just a matter of balancing benefits with costs so that things don't rapidly become overly convenient for you and yours.
