The goal is class parity.
Each class should bring something unique and relevant to all levels of the game.

Alright, enough. I'm done trying to make a point to the deaf. Let's give you -everything- you've asked for. 10,000 foot jumps, +9,000 to social rolls, reroute rivers with a stomp at level 1, a codified manuever for EVERYTHING and NO improvisation WHATSOEVER (unless it's in your favor, in which case it's perfectly acceptable). Cut boulders in half with your tongue merely by thinking about it, whatever. Knock yourselves out.
You're still behind a 3.5 wizard. Now what.
One of the most impressive pissy strawman supernovas I've seen. Kudos

Help me keep on the right page here, guys. Were we gonna try halfway reasoned discussion, or have we gone over to screaming hyperbolic insults past each other? I just wanna know which one is the appropriate response before I go to the effort.
I wouldn't bother. I've got to the crux of the argument, although not quite what I expected it to be. I -should- have...but I didn't.
No, no when you get down to the crux of the argument, it almost never looks like screaming hyperbolic insults past one another. That's almost always a good sign that it's time to take a break.
Seriously, though, you should check out the PbP Haven. You might also like Real Adventures, IF you're cool. | Knights of W.T.F.- Silver Spur Winner | | 4enclave, a place where 4e fans can talk 4e in peace.

Whatever. My hyperbole post sure seems to have ruffled some feathers, but that's one of the reasons I used it. It -did- coax out the real nugget of truth though, and therein is where I found the crux of the real argument. It was my Tom Cruise/Jack Nicholson moment. You know, that whole stunned silence thing. "Did you order the Code Red!?" So I suppose you could say...at this point, no one is flinging any hyperbolic insults.
@Boho: Thanks. You might want to see what a strawman is before you accuse someone of using it, though, given that those were all specific examples of things asked for. A healthy dose of hyperbole added in (I like the 'with your tongue' part, personally), but still specific examples.

Please point to me where someone asked for the power to reroute rivers at level one. or for 10000 foot jumps. Or for +9000 to checks.
You are completely full of it.

You are completely full of it, sir.
I already did that. And unless you're having trouble understanding what 'hyperbole' is, you know I can't direct you to 'reroute rivers at level 1' (I think it was something like 12 or 13 -- LFQW thread). 10,000' jumps is 'Hulk Jumping'. +9000 to checks is 'to make it so dominate isn't the best outcome of a social encounter' (I'm having trouble seeing how -any- check score is high enough to -beat- Dominate, but whatever).
And now you can add 'Shoot a hole through the moon', listed just upthread. And -that- one wasn't hyperbole!
Not to mention that you missed the -entire- point of that post (probably intentionally, but who knows) which was that, even if you had -all- of that, you're -still- behind the 3.5 wizard. But 'keeping up with the wizard' has been the -reason- given for these things.

You can use hyperbole to describe the opposition's argument all you want. Just be aware that it then turns your argument into a strawman.
No ONE argued for rerouting rivers at level one. No one argued for any of those things at level one.

Well technichnally she was right that people are asking for that stuff in 5e, she just got the group wrong. There are many people who want this kind of thing, but only for casters.
Reroute rivers at level 1: create water at-will (At higher levels you get better spells to do this kind of stuff) 10000 foot jumps: Flight and teleport +9000 to checks: any spell that completely trivializes a skill: charm person, dominate, detect lies, spider climb, flight, invisibility, etc.

I'm going to quote myself a bit; just seems pertinent. The people who want "magic fighters" are just like the folks that want "fighters that don't do anything."
Pretty much nonexistant, except for a few persons that everyone on one side can point to to say "Whoa, that's not a straw-man, look at that [crazy] guy. See, it's a real opinion that real people have."

And now look at the title of the thread. It's about introducing warblade as a core class. Warblade has none of the abilities you listed in previous several posts.
