I find it to be a very clean and easy way to speed up gameplay. I will not miss the +2 or -2 oldschool way of doing things. I see a birght future using this new method. What are your thoughts?

At first glance it seems very powerful, the equivalant of +5 or -5 to hit.  Seems a little too big a bonus/penalty to be so common but I'll have to see how it will work out in actual play.
