The original Email's links were corrupted. Simply go back to the first email you got this morning and resignup for the download. Should fix it.
Gosh, it sure would be nice of WoTC simply sent out new emails saying that, or come here and say that. They HAVE to know this is going on, and I don't give a rats fart about chain of communication protocols, it's a no brainer to simply say, Let them know we are on it.

I think it's fairly clear that Wizards' systems are overwhelmed, not unlike when they put out the request for world creation back in 3e. They've underestimated the extent of interest, and underplanned and underbuilt. It's possible that they are running around trying to fix this, and can't spare time to tell us so.

Me too. Lots of error pages until now, I get redirected back to the first form submission page. So, I resubmitted the form to get the "wait 30-60 minutes for an email with a link" notification. Do you think it's a server or even mail server problem? Too many people trying to download or request a download at the same time? Makes me wander if they knew what volume of traffic to expect? They had to have known there'd be a stampede to download the packet. We've been waiting oh so patiently.
The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules. -Gary Gygax

No, I don't think so. They are always claiming they have a lot of data.
Also, you had to sign up for the playtest before this. So they knew exactly how many people were interested. The email this morning only went out to those that said they were interested. They should have been prepared for exactly that amount of people wanting to download.
I also can't help being suspicious with a post number of 1 who only JUST made an account to respond to this. For me it seems like someone at WOTC or a volunteer trying to deflect.

Or its someone who doesn't normally participate in forums but was interested in the playtest and is having the same issues?

I'm providing answers in one place because that's what needs to happen. I'm closing the threads (like this one) on the same topic because in order to keep things clean and keep abreast of the issue, I really need it all to be in one place. If I haven't provided any more answers, it's simply because I don't have them yet. Sorry - I know that's frustrating, but hopefully that makes sense. And yes, I'm closing down this thread now. Please keep feedback and questions about the playtest download issues in the thread we created for this topic.
