I'm thinking a person could vision quest/meditate for an epiphany to get those reverse feats without having to draw from their limited level pool. As a much broader mechanic, I'm thinking "create spell", "learn specialization", and "learn reverse" are all means of turning downtime into product, rather than level into product. I'm a big fan of downtime progression, I think the Psionicist has a history of it, and it's oddly more justifiable than most other classes because they practically live inside their own heads.

Not feats, feat, just one. Like i said the difference between a pyro and a cryo is the reverse switch so while a beginner might, not start with ice and fire it should be a matter of one epiphany to get the other.

As for down time i dunno heros and such have a long history of unlocking new powers and coming to stunning realizations at all sorts of awkward moments.

it seems to me the psychometabolist - like the biofeedback and martial artists types would have the most hit points, probably followed by psychokinetic/mind over matter types, since they spend a lot of time in the physical world and mind over matter is part of the mind over body chain.

Following that, probably the clairvoyant types with sight beyond sight. Though hit points being an aspect of survivability and luck tells me some of these clairvoyants might have intuition or danger sense related feats or talents that drastically improve their hit points.

Finally, you have telepaths who would have the lowest hit points, but like the Intuitive Clairvoyants, might have their own "super hit point" abilities, in this case, probably by psyching themselves out through self hypnosis or similar techniques that also border the Psychometabolic/mind over body.

I think in this analysis you can see how different aspects of psychic powers are related to each other.
