Leaving one World Behind
As the groups travel to Darkenwood there are many tribulations felt. Samm is conflicted with his knightly duties, on the one hand he is sworn to protect his friends and on the other he feels he should warn the Order of what is to come. Sovelissiis of a similar mind set he is intrigued with the prospect of traveling to a new world were he may be able to better increase his powers and yet he fells that the Order of High Sorceryshould be warned for those high in the order may be able to do something to save the world from the disaster. Juba being the Kender she is feels no fear and there for is excited at the prospect of being sent by magical means to another world and is many times during the trip asking Dara about it. If Dara was not as mild in nature she might have lashed out at the poor Kendar for the amount of questions she asks. But for the most part Dara is distracted with her own thoughts. Often barley taking time to eat and rest often sitting for only mear moments before urging the group to travel on.
After a little more than a month of traveling the group finds them selves at the boarders of Darkenwood. Stories surrounding the wood are as wide and variantas the world its self. With our a second thought given to them Dara steps into the woods the rest for her companions a sort distance behind reluctantly follow. That night they make camp to eat and rest for longer than the mear moments they have since they started this journey. On this night Dara finds her self more at ease and even drifts off to slip but not long after she it shaken awake by the dream. Once she becomes aware of her surroundings and see her friends have been awaken by her screams. Dara Jumps to her feet and say we can rest no longer we are running out of time we must reach the place before sun up. As the group gathers there belongings, Dara has already headed out and the groups is hard pressed to catch her. after several hours of tracking Dara. The groups bursts into a clearing that is brightly lite by the moons above and here and there a multitude of mutlicolored dots can bee seen flickeringin and out. In the middle of the clearing stands Dara stareing to the sky and the companions reach her and look up, they see what she dose. The constellations that any child of Krynn and pick out and name are gone. Samm places his hand on Dara's should and gets her attentions. Samm asks if they have reached there destination. Dara replies they have and must waite for the sign her Goddess mentioned. A few moments later the lights begins to congregateon the far side of the clearing in between two large oak trees. In seconds the lights merge into signalcolor of a whitish blue and seems to be held in place bettween the two oak trees. At that moment Dara shouts we must reach the portal befor it closes. The companions begin to run lead by Dara.
As the groups reaches the portal and steps through at that exact moments the world of Krynn is struck by a huge fiery mountain that shakes the world forever changing its face and its people. But that is a story about another group of adventurers. Our adventurers have just started on their path to true adventure.
