Sorry if I missed something in the rules, but two things puzzle me.
1) The deploy phase mentions that if you don't have an available mini, then you can't deploy it. What would cause this? Does each creature type only have 1 available? ie you cant have 2 Elf Archers in play at once?
2) I see the description of what the triangles are on the map, but what about the circles and the other three sided thing? They look to be trasure and fire hazards. Any rules regarding them yet?

The note about minis is really just to say you have to have a miniature for each creature card. A bit of future-proofing rules is all.
The other icons are for as-yet unfinished mechanics. We didn't want to clutter up the playtest with them just yet.

I was also curious about the other symbols on the maps, will we see some of those later on "our" playtesting?

On that note, I was somewhere that the set comes with 12 minis and with that ruling that a creature doesn't deploy unless there is an available mini. For this I think we should be good as far as available minis

I think once the ball gets rolling on this game, booster packs will be released that will allow players to customize and build their own decks to their liking.
That being said it may be possible to have say, 4 Elf archer cards but only 2 figures, in which case the rule of card-> figure would be relavent.

I don't think we are testing these yet but I think this answers your question... community.wizards.com/dnd_playtesting/bl...Treasure Squares: Squares marked with the circle icon are treasure squares. At the start of the game, place 1 gold on each treasure square. On your turn, you can tap any creature on a treasure square to collect that gold, adding it to your Vault Hazardous Terrain: Squares marked with the barbed caltrop icon (in this playtest, these are the fire brazier squares) are hazardous terrain. When a creature enters a square of hazardous terrain, that creature takes 5 damage. Note that a creature can only take damage from any individual square of hazardous terrain once per activation, so no sliding a creature in and out of a hazardous square for repeated damage! At the end of your turn, each creature you control that is on a square marked as hazardous terrain takes 5 damage.
