Was a playable plant race ever published for AD&D? If so, where might I find it? If not, how would you create one?

I do not believe that even the Complete Book of Humanoids covered a plant based race, but if you have a copy of the DMs Option: High Level Campaigns (relatively certain) there is a method for making any monster at all into an individual not just a basic listing. That method, with only minor adjusting should work quite well, so long as you have a Monster Manual reference to begin with....

Thank you for your reply. It's been a long while since I've looked at my High Level Book, so I'll have to dust it off and check it out.

There is a ranger kit called a Greenwood ranger (I think) that becomes a tree/plant at later levels. But that's the only plant-based PC I've ever read about.

I don't recall one ever being officially published, though fabricating one wouldn't be too hard if you have something particular in mind. Smile
