    Inns and Taverns

Lets face it almost no Dungeons & Dragon campaign goes without the players at some point ending up in an Inn or a Traven. It’s the place where rumors are found or started. Where liquored up watchmen spill key details about the castle or the man in a black cloak waits for the pcs. Sometime you just have to wing it with Inns or Taverns. Other times you want to have one planned out but still flexible for changes in the game. Or maybe you don’t want to spend too much time going into to much detail on them and decide you want to work on other areas of your Campaign. I’ve long search for tools to help me out in the area and below are links to three different Taverns and or Inn Generators that I've used. None of them the fulfill everything I would want, but combine all two or three of these and you have a killer combo.

    1) Wizard’s Tavern Builder

This online one gives you a name, Bartender, note worthy Clientele, Menu and rumors. I’ve found this one to be a great starting point.

    2) Inkwellideas’ free Online Random Inn Generator

Inkwellideas’ is another online one that gives you a name, menu and map.

    3) TavernMaker

The last one I’ve used for a while. It’s a free Windows program and I have it running in Windows 7 right now. Gives you a map, clientele descriptions down to the table and a pick pocket break down too.

    So what are you using?
