Their unending lifespans and terrific power gave rise to the creation of numerous artifacts of unparalleled power. The ancient ruins of their massive, long-lost civilization still dot the landscape, their enchantments are a testament to their forgotten lore. Samsarans are ancient creatures even in their youth; a samsaran's life is not a linear progression from birth to death, but rather a circle of birth to death to rebirth. Whenever a samsaran dies, it reincarnates anew as a young samsaran to live a new life. Her past memories remain vague and indistinct—and each new incarnation is a creature of different disposition and personality.
Physical description: Samsarans are the model upon which all their creations were based, and thus appear mostly like humans, their first creations. They have silvery or dark hair and solid white eyes with no pupils or irises. Skin tones are generally shades of light blue. Their blood runs transparent, like the waters of a trickling brook.
Society: Very few samsarans remain in Senium - only those who did not pit sentients to fight against each other long ago remain - all the others suffered the wrath of awareness and were transformed into monstrous Raksasha. Those that remain have lived countless lives since then, and their memories of that distant time and their lost civilization are all but forgotten.
Modern samsarans, rare as they are, are advisers, viziers, counselors, and wise men. Their reincarnation cycles make them ideal for their task and it's in their nature to prune and tend at things so they can't help but meddle in all things they touch. Most people treasure them for their wisdom and long-term perspective that rivals even the elves, but an astute few see them for the master manipulators that they are.
Relations: Most samsarans, being so few and often potent, are known individually by name - and their relationships are unique unto themselves. Perhaps due to a fault in their creation, the orcs posses and inherent hatred of samsarans and will attack them on sight. Elves on the other hand, view the samsarans with respect and friendship, perhaps sensing their shared long term perspective.
Adventurers: Samsaran adventurers are almost unheard of - so much so that when one is seen, many begin to wonder what great samsaran has passed into the next cycle of reincarnation.
