If clerics don't worship a single deity, would that limit story arcs which use that principle as a foundation or is the limitation applicable to player classes only?

Originally I had planned on specialty classes for those who worshipped one god instead of the entire pantheon. The Druid would be the one who worshipped the Earth god, the Paladin would be the one that worshipped the Protector god, the Anti-Paladin would be the one that worshipped the War god, and so on. However, after getting feedback from my cleric player, I'm now remodeling the Cleric so that they may choose a patron god and gain special abilities and access to domain spells from that god....

"Honestly, at this point, WotC should just put out a core, bare bones system and let DMs put together the game we want."
That was what I liked about the D20 SRD.

You can make a simple wound system out of this as follows:
Wound score = average of ability scores.
Wound damage taken when hit by an attack roll of a natural 20.
1 point of wound damage taken per natural 20 attack rolled.
Wounds only healed through rest or magic.
1 wound point healed per day (doubled if under the care of a character trained in Heal)
Clerics can swap out any daily for a Cure spell or a Heal spell of the levels they have access to.

I really like the wound idea for mechanical injuries (broken leg, cracked skull, severed hand) I can see some poisons, but not sure I'd like all poisons to inflict this type of damage. Extreme fire and cold damage could fit well here too (e.g 1 wound pt for every 10 hp dam from such sources). Overall wounds are an excellent concept. I could see this being useful in DNDN. Also wouldn't mind seeing some sort of table to specify wound locations & subsequent effects (e.g. fractured femur: movement to...

Your point about "traditional retailers" is well taken. I got my then 5 year old daughter interested in D&D because of a visit to a local book shop (I had never been in side a game shop at that time--I bought all my board and card games from on line book retailers--I though game shops were for computer games). They had the D&D 3.5 Basic Game (the yellow box with the blue dragon) on the shelves in their comics and games section. I had played D&D as a teen and in college, but never got...

I do not understand how that anti-D&D propaganda campaign ever gained any ground in your country. A game can't make someone evil or cause them to commit suicide. I think parents who don't want to admit their own culpability in the death of their child are looking for scapegoats. Kids who end up in these suicidal spirals are going to kill themselves whether they play D&D or not.
We find D&D has so many positive aspects for our child, including math skills, cooperation skills,...
