I listened to this episode while on my daily jog.

DM Chris Heard is on of my DM inspirations & his table continues to amaze me. The Story Thus Far episode [a feature I wish more Actual Play podcasts used] was recently updated so I listened to that before I listened to this episode--amazing how long this campaign has been running & how focused it has remained on a single story line. Very strong campaign.
This episode is awesome for a variety of reasons. DM Chris' son Nathan joins the table for what I think is the first time--and has an awesome leap onto the Broken Promise!
DM Chris makes some off the cuff statement like 'D&D is a resource game--but it is not a resource conservation game, it is a resource expenditure game' or something similarly academic--at my table we just say 'burn it--it is just weighing you down!', but the idea is similar--to be awesome you must creatively use the powers on teh sheet.
And though the story is mostly combat this episode it is still really awesome to see the players interacting in such a positive way.
Clearly one of the pest Actual Play podcasts out there.
