It's simply because most men, still see Magic as a "men's" game. I've noticed that myself. The funny part is every last one of them would love to find a girl interested in the game. I personally love playing against girls or guys, either way I just like playing people. I think it's awesome when a girl can beat me. My fiance Stephanie kicked my ass royally when we played once. I bought her the Ajani vs Nichol Bolas deck and I used my best deck against Bolas and she kept me from playing anything...

yea it happens....oh well. My hubby loves it when he sees me beat other guys lol. Gratz on being engaged by the way. Ive been marred to my sweetie for 6 years now. It is always fun to share something like MTG with your loved ones. Not to mention you guys can share mythic rares when needed! hehe...

Did some rethinking last night...ultimately I am going to make what I am calling the Glory deck. The main theme is my Glory Angel card because she is going to set off a combo that will be the game winning combo for me if all goes well. If I have all elements of this combo and no one pulls out some crazy instants during it then I will be good.
I have a few variables to account for though if I want this combo to be as effective as possible, first I need more flayer of the hatebound cards...

I have a few variables to account for though if I want this combo to be as effective as possible, first I need more flayer of the hatebound cards because his ability is a crucial part of the combo , I need more angel of glory's rise beause I only have 2 right now and since the deck is built around her, I need 4. I want to get more restoration angels just in case someone tries to pull off something shady against my glory card. although the reso angel is not a necessity..just a safeguard...I want 2 more vigilante justice or 2 more cathar's crusade...they are a necessity for the combo, I need at least one of those enchantments out before I execute this although I prefer to have both of them out. I need some day of judgement cards (wipes the board clear of creatures for only 2 mana) There are some other cards I want.....but right now these are the key components. The whole idea is that I will amass my little army of weenies and they will have counters on them...people will most likely think "ohh wipe out those weenies" because they gain in power every time I add a new one...and they will be poking the opponent for little amounts of damage along the way, but ultimately they are pretty much a distraction as I wait to have the correct cards in play and in hand along with enough mana cause glory costs 7 just by herself. Up until the combo point, I do normal defense, little pokes, some life gains, use fiend hunter to shut down some of their creatures etc. Once I have my flayer of the hatebound out along with a good amount of humans in graveyard which won't be hard and I have a vigilante justice out and/or cathars crusade then I either block whatever they swing at me with and purposefully do so that my devil and humans are killed which may happen, or if that doesn't happen then I play day of judgement...all creatures wiped...but my devil automatically comes back (undying) with a counter on him and deals 5 direct dmg to player, then I play my glory card which gives me back all humans in my graveyard and exiles zombies in case opponent has any...then this is where the dmg comes in....for every human that comes back into play vigilante justice deals 1 point of direct dmg to target player, for every creature that comes back its power deals direct dmg to player and the reason I want cathars crusade out is because +1 counters do count for creatures power in terms of using flayer...so I am gaining multiple +1 counters for each creatures power from flayer and those are part of the direct damage. Plus some of my human weenies deal direct dmg to player when they enter battlefield equal to amount of humans in play so that is even more.

Ultimately when I play Glory along with the other cards to complement her ability I am going to deal a huge amount of direct dmg at the player, if I have everything out that I want and enough humans coming back I could potentially one shot a player at full health. If that doesn't work...I am left with an army of beefed up weenies, a flying creature that will be beefed up, my beefed up devil and whatever else I feel like throwing at them. I got fireballs to finish off any remaining life. Actually, I just got bonfire of the damned out of a booster pack today so if they still have life left I can throw that at them next turn.

It can be a very devastating combo if I have the cards lined up right. It can work, but it does have multiple variables which makes it a necessity for me to play smart and not waste anything or put something out too early . oh and I'll gain life from the res as well. ^^

I really hope this works once I get all the cards and copies I need. I think it can, but I recognize that having a combo requiring multiple crucial cards to be out is not always easy to pull off.Either way, I will kill every freaking creature I have left with day of judgement along with theirs so if the combo doesn't take them down, I'll get them next turn unless they have some crazy card in hand to turn it around on me.

I used to only play burn decks. I suppose this is my new interpretation of a burn deck...just happens to be one really big burn at once.

had to do recounting last night..dropped some cards to a 3 count, not 4. at this point i have the deck consructed, i need to order 7 individual cards online and pick 5 cards to drop from the deck cause it is counting 65 right now.

Every Begining Player starts with 15 deck points and 10 life points and 100...

So last night, Me and two other people played this variant to give it a try, And we had a blast. We seriously couldn't stop playing. But we realized very quickly that you need to insert a rule stating that every player gets at LEAST 50 points just for playing in the match.

Interesting. I like the concept of creating a Role Playing Game based around Magic the Gathering. However, I have a question about the gamble concept. Is it similiar to you setting a goal for yourself during the round and if you complete the goal, you recieve the bonus? Or is this "gamble" created by the other players? On that hand, you stated you had a leveing system in mind. How would one go about leveling up? And do the deck points set a limit on how many cards you can have in your deck? Or...

You set your own Gambles. If you complete a Gamble you receive the bonus. I completely ruled out the leveling aspect. There is no limit to the amount of cards in your deck as long as you do not exceed your deck point limit. I posted a much greater explanation to the rules in my most recent post I will message you with a link.
