So I have to give credit where credit is due. I will do that, I have no problem with that. Now mind you the new Character Builder has been out roughly 36 days depending on how you look at it. So they had major stability issues, many bugs, lots of missing or broken content (depending on who's view you listen to) and it took 36 days to get a few things fixed. Onto the praise... They updated the character builder today and fixed one particular bug that annoyed me to no end. Mage At-Will's, you could not pick from other sources just the first essential book. I wanted my players Pyromancer to have more than just the couple of fire spells available to him. Oh there was a work around thanks to dbmeboy over on the DDI forums but that was a fan work around, not official as much as the imported ...

So I had cancelled my subscription last month. I wanted to wait until I was sure they were going to be getting back to regular updates and adding value to Insider. I got excited when it was hinted at that something was going to happen on November 2nd so over the weekend I renewed my subscription. I have been a loyal supporter of Wizards of the Coast for... well since forever. My original Magic collection probably helped them buy TSR lol. Well Tuesday comes and wow the announcement is made and that thread is still smoking as I write this. My initial reaction was feeling let down, I have played many WotC games that are gone now. The builder was added to that list and I was feeling like I might as well just pack it in, jump into the Pathfinder club since most of my players still cling to a ... |
