Long ago, at the dawn of time, the gods Jharell and Daemoth fought for control of the universe. The stage for their war became Vinramar, the Material Realm. Daemoth commanded armies of foul beings, sickly and evil. Jharell was the lord of righteous warriors and priests who served him in piety. The victims of the war between good and evil multiplied until nearly every creature stood for one side or the other.

This conflict, called the War of Eternity by the historians of Vinramar, continues today. All the righteous nations have fallen, and the evil hunt the good like beasts, purging each government of the followers of Jharell. These are the Annoloth, or Years of Woe, the final age of Vinramar. Its doom will soon be decided.The new human kingdoms have become the pawns in this war as they colonize the lands of other races, spreading the influence of Daemoth. Though the followers of the evil lord do not yet hold the alliance of every nation, there are none which openly oppose them, and certainly none which openly serve Jharell. Those individuals who are faithful to his cause must conceal their belief for fear of persecution.

The very earth of Vinramar groans at the wicked and evil state of its tenants. Fate cries out for true heroes to avenge the millennia of filth and corruption, and bring order and purity back to Vinramar. There are hosts of creatures who oppose the cause of good, for the Boundless War will continue until either the righteous or the wicked are purged from the world, and one god rules supreme over the universe.

Vinramar

Vinramar is the central world of the DARKPLANE universe. It is a part of the Material Realm, and has become the battleground for the Wars of Eternity. There are several continents in the world, split into eleven general regions. The regions are various and contain many nations and cultures of their own.

The Wars of Eternity are fought in all worlds, but Vinramar most of all. It has become the place of mortal existence - a station of probation, where creatures prove their devotion to one god or the other before the final judgment. Its lands have shifted and grown with the millennia, housing countless nations and civilizations since the day of its creation.
