    D&D Encounters at Akihabara

    Saturday, April 21, 2012, 10:40 AM

At the far east of Asia, gamers go delving.

In Japan, Dungeons & Dragons is not so popular than U.S. Japanese gamer will play Sword World 2.0 or Arianrod more. But delvers still exist.

We played D&D Encounter at Akihabara. Yes, Akihabara. The iconic ground of OTAKU(geek, nerd) and center of Japanese subculture.

We make trailer for each session. One of our DM, Rei (budding voice actress) and her friends make this movie.

Trailers for previous session is here.

We started our encounters from 3rd seasons "The keep of the Borderlands". At first time we started only one table one shop, but more and more people are joining us. So now we are playing 4 tables at akihabara and more people playng all arround japan.

I believe that more people will join our Encounters on next season.

    D&D Encounter in Japan Akihabara

    Thursday, May 12, 2011, 12:36 AM

We've finished "Keep on the Borderlands" campaign, yesterday.

Our home shop is "Role & Roll Station" at Akihabara Tokyo. Playing through  20 sessions, total number of gamer who played D&D at this shop is 288.

In japan, D&D Encounter is not so familiar with Tabletop RPG Gamers.

But some enthusiastic D&D players (like my comrade), translate Adventure to Japanese, recruit new DMs and negotiate shops to import Fortune card.

5/18 we start March of the Phantom Brigade. It will be impressive adventure.

So please wait next report from Akihabara!
