Smog descended upon the lands smothering all beneath a thick grimy mass. Selenia marched through as quickly as she could, wary of what could be lurking in the shadows. She had no word that foes were nearby, but she could not help but feel something was off. Little did she know that each step was leading her into Coalition hands. Both the sisters of stone death and Emrakul were closing in around her.
As the days wore on, the feeling only grew worse. Selenia was forced to slow as she was certain she felt a foreign presence. At that moment, the smog seemed to lift around her as air shifted strangely through the smog. Silhouettes appeared, and it quickly dawned to Selenia what was happening. She drew her forces close, and with a burst rushed forward just as Coalition forces surged in from all sides. At first only arrows flew into her flanks, but soon enough demigods with dragons and angels followed.
Selenia’s push forward was slowed by attacks all along its length. Above mages blew winds downwards, driving fliers back to the ground. With the pressure she was forced to hold in a grounded circle. Where her protectors fell under the Coalition numbers, they were overwhelmed in moments. Alone and surrounded by the corpses that once formed her army, Selenia was forced to give herself to the Coalition’s blade.Spoiler:

Early on Akroma took to the skies to make the most of the calmer weather before the storm. Her units flew through the air, keeping a careful eye out for Urabrask. Unfortunately for her, he was amongst the scattered spires that make up the outer island area trying to work his way beneath the Quicksilver Sea so to tunnel into the Seat from below instead. Thus, despite her desire to find a foe and knock them from the bridges, there were no foes to be found upon the bridges to knock.
Days went by, and the storm rolled in. The Coalition found its main plan thwarted by time and were forced to retreat haphazardly into the Seat itself to take shelter in what little remained. Meanwhile, Urabrask was making very slow going trying to wear his way in the right direction through the thick metal. It took days and he had very little to show for it. It was becoming apparent that he would not manage a tunnel big enough to send sufficient forces through (the risk of going up too early into the sea itself, or too late into the lacuna wasn’t appealing either mind you).
Thus, while storms tore the skies, Urabrask decided to leave the area instead. A set of dragons and parasites were sent off to try destroy the Seat, but there was little they could do that past battles had not already. Even then, they didn't last long in the face of numerous Coalition soldiers itching for something to kill.Spoiler:

There's no way at all to make this one interesting. Linvala turned tail and ran away like a sissy. Ihsan stayed put and watched her go. There was a bout of spontaneous combustion in the Coalition camp afterward, got to watch those Phyrexian illnesses.Spoiler:

Across the plains Jenara rushed for the entrance of the Simulation Grounds, where Teferi was happily waiting ready to be a gracious host. He opted for the traditional greeting in volleys of arrows, mixing it up a bit with oncoming storms of dust to aid in Jenara’s passage. Once within shouting range, he took it upon himself to meet Jenara upon the doorstep. He advanced forward in a single mass, presumably for the purpose of glomping. Throughout he was sure to maintain courtesy at all times by carefully ensuring the dust was out of the way but the arrow volleys continued for Jenara’s comfort.
Unfortunately it seemed that Teferi would prove to be too overbearing a host. The might of his arms caused Jenara some discomfort, even as she attempted to draw upon a gift of spells. It was all she could do to resist his advances. Yet Teferi continued to press forward, eager host that he was. Jenara rapidly backpedalled, much to Teferi’s disappointment. With a sigh, he watched her leave, but still ensured that there was a constant escort of arrow fire to keep her safe. There would be no visitors to the Simulation Grounds this day.Spoiler:

Early on the first morn Darigaaz made sure to leave a few zeppelins out for his foes, but otherwise chose to wait within the spire. To make sure he was abreast of all developments, he sent out a pile of scouts to scour the lands - but oddly enough they did not manage to find hide nor hair of Wrexial’s forces (Wrexial was easy enough though by definition). It seemed as though the Phyrexian forces had disappeared. Scouting operations expanded as the day drew on, but still nothing was spotted. As night fell and sight declined with it, the scouting net was forced to pull inward, abandoning the outer reaches.
The next day dawned, and yet still no sign of Phyrexians anywhere. Darigaaz grew concerned that something would go terribly wrong. Fortunately the second day proved just as uneventful as the first. But that would be the last easy one. Late that night Darigaaz's fears were shown to be correct. Reports began to trickle in that enemies had been spotted deep within the fortress itself, not in great numbers, but foreign bodies were still found at the scattered traps and ambush points. A few moved upward to deal with their attackers and find out how they were gaining access, but most remained where they were.
Without warning a massive shockwave hit Hispalis. The entire upper portion turned a bright red as the ruby laser blasted downward into its own control room. Coalition soldiers arrived just in time to spot their dead and a … shoal? of dried merfolk at the controls. Yet there was little they could do, the laser was already beginning to peek through. They barely had time to flee as the room flared into incineration. As the power to the ruby and its control was cut, it thankfully fell dull and quiet.
In the chaos however, more infiltrators made their move throughout Hispalis. Within the hanger the only remaining zeppelin fell under Phyrexian control and began to move outward. While below, thus far hidden Phyrexians revealed themselves as they clambered aboard the conveniently left zeppelins and made their way upward. Darigaaz drew his forces close and set about attacking anything that attempted to enter through the hanger doors.
However, Phyrexians were still gaining access from other points - even the gapping melted hole at the top could now serve as an entrance. So while Darigaaz was distracted at the hanger, others slipped in above and spread throughout the city. Bit by bit, streets began to fall into Wrexial’s hands. Darigaaz however refused to retreat, he would hold and retake the city if it was the last thing he did. Throughout the night the armies fought, the Coalition successfully driving off Phyrexian moves upon the hanger again and again.
The fighting even continued into the following day. By this time, Darigaaz had lost control of the city, but still stubbornly held the hanger - which was now shut in a bid to prevent the threat growing worse. Yet the dragon knew he could not remain there forever, supplies and important components were in the city above. Forced to move upward or give up Hispalis he grouped his forces to try drive his foes into tight places where their numbers would be confined. But Wrexial wished to fight along such lines - as the Coalition strength too would be restricted. But still, Wrexial was willing to give ground, while Darigaaz wished to defend it to the death. For many of his units it proved to be so as the more flexible Phyrexians were able to draw their foes into advantegous situations.
As the hours drew on, the Coalition army ran out of steam. After many days of fighting their elusive foe, weariness and a shattered moral at last defeated them. Darigaaz was forced to at last abandon Hispalis to Phyrexian hands.Spoiler:
