Hey again everyone, trying to work out more info on my campaign world and certainly need to spend more time sitting here writting them down and sharing them. As I said in the first post, I am hopping to get some support and input from the community as I develop this. As such I also hope to make things easier to find as new people see these and want to read old ones. Thus I am going to title the projuct Azure Eclipse and include the tag azure-eclipse to each blog to ease in searching. This will obviously be more useful later than now. Anyways, tonight Gypsies of the Blue Moon.
The traveling band of performers and soothsayers known as the Gypsies of the Blue Moon is an incredibly superstitious group, possibly moreso than the most remote farmers of the world. They hold a fear of technology and an awe for magic, members performing only the most minor of tricks. Most of the company holds a special combination of fear, wonder, and respect for the natural world. Despite their beliefs holding quite true to those who have denounced technology and arcana, the Gypsies ally themselves only with eachother. They travel the countryside setting up fairs through all kingdoms, performing plays, giving tarot readings, and spreading superstition. Most view them as little more than amusement or at worst annoyance. A more knowledgable few, however, see that there is more to this band than simple street performances. Not only are they remarkabley intuitive, but they breed and care for very large fruit bats. These bats are intelligent and act much like carrier birds of the kingdoms, relaying messages between spread out members. But every three months or so, these bats leave the camps en masse in seeming fright. Infact, odd things always seem to happen around gypsy camps in the light of the seasonal Blue Moon. Werewolves have often been connected to gypsy bands throughout history's tales, but thats during full moons and there has been no wolf reports. So who, or what, are they?
