Well because chant is so low on removal, it does have some outs.. Chant player lay's down Pathrazer of Ulamog, next turn dimir player puts stolen identity on a Moroii.. GG.Btw I love that we get to see a eye of ugin in this deck, bring on the non-basic lands! With all the ramp in the Eldrazi deck I'm thinking it might get to it's fatties before Dimir gets to 6 mana for Stolen Identity.

On an unrelated note, I hope they keep the frame for the Eldrazi cards. I really like them
Wizards: If it isn't game design, we can't do it right. Frankly, we're kind of shaky on the game design sometimes too.
Ya, good luck with dimir deck dealing with Eldrazis (or Dragons) with Threads of Disloyalty and its "removal" with Last Gasp.

Core list only has 59 cards listed. What's missing?
"People are like sausages: it's what's under the skin that's important... so poke them with a fork periodically."
"Lif is too short."

*Shrugs.* Maybe I'm oversimplifying things but I just saw Venge as a potentially reusable chump blocker while you wait for the real beef to get on the table. Also, a nice target for Artisan of Kozilek by way of having Haste.
WotC doesn't care about flavor. Their forum is the only place where an ORC can kill a troll...

Yeah, not really sure what purpose Vengevine serves. Maybe if you feel the deck needs a bit of aggression against something else? I don't know. I sometimes wonder how they test games behind the scenes. Do they 2/3+sideboard every now and then? Because I feel that's how we get some of the odd inclusions at times.I'm expecting Tooth and Nail to be insane though. Especially if even nastier creatures end up in this deck's roster.
Wow, this deck is...wow. WowRamp...so much ramp. Rites of flourishing + primeval + cultivate and explore with your gladeheart out. Screw aggro, let them hit me, i'll be life gaining like a mother funker.I hope to christ there's a good blue deck otherwise this deck is...............OPShould we reserve a space for "chant of mul daya is op" threads?

Screw aggro, let them hit me, i'll be life gaining like a mother funker.I hope to christ there's a good blue deck otherwise this deck is...............OPShould we reserve a space for "chant of mul daya is op" threads? Well, first thing I'll say is that Rites of Flourishing will probably not make anyone's final cut. There's too much Howling Mine to it in that, outside of a mill deck, your opponent is going to get the first benefit from it, and moreover, there's a LOT of decks where the LAST thing you're going to want to do is give them more cards. Aggro decks are generally held in check by how well control decks can out-card-advantage them and giving Aggro more cards works against that. Especially given that Exploration is one of the unlocks, you will be inviting a lot less risk running that.So far as OP? No. Not yet, anyhow. There's nothing here a Doom Blade won't handle. Or even Terror. The deck has no direct removal and isn't throwing out anything exceptionally difficult to kill, just difficult to deal with in combat. You're pretty much relying on sticking an early Annihilator and if you don't get it, you're at the mercy of any removal the opponent has. Now if we see Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn eventually, then we might see some OPness, but right now it's all just meaty dudes.
Eye of Ugin? I feel it should be staple with the lack of strong draw. Means Primeval Titan is necessary, maybe even GSZ to tutor for Titan just so you can go tutor Eldrazi for days until victory.I was just thinking that the finishers themselves are a tad easy to deal with in the face of good removal. Depending on some of the other decks, I feel like ramp, ramp, ramp into fatty just to see it die isn't going to feel great. Eye of Ugin should help make up for that a bit.
That's cool and i respect your views but i will have to disagree with a few points. The second paragraph i agree with. Rites of flourishing i would definately put in. This deck has the biggest creatures, the quicker i get there the quicker i win. In 2hg it garuntees your partners land and gives you access to the card draw you need so much.Rites on turn 3, turn 4, cultivate for 2 mana plus a land that's seven mane with enough room for an explore and another land. Next turn big creature lulz win. That might be best case scenario but holding back ramp so it becomes more effective after rites is a good way to play. Plus, your opponents will be spamming land and creatures but their creatures wont be as big. In fairness i should add i', looking at the decks announced so far. It could and probably all will change, but i would definately slap in rites. Howling mine is a good card as well in the mill deck. It's passive mill while giving you the control answers
I cant't believe it, finally i get an Eldrazi deck, omg !!! I want that allways so bad and yet it is here !
Sadly, there no Eldrazibosses in this deck and foremost no 0/1 Eldrazi tokens, because of no manapool.
On the other side, omg, so many amazing cards, i think we never had such a good chance to get fatties so easily on the field like with this deck. It's much better than Ancient Depths, because it have lifegain and massremoval. It's so amazing, damn can't wait for release.
Summoning Trap = counter spell heavy deck confirmed?
