does anyone have like a quick reference to the skill checks for 4e


ie. when a player does a bluff check it is vs. insight


but a list for all the checks and opposed checks
     
either that or a really summed up Chapter 5 of PHB1 like all on one page type of thing

No checks need to be opposed checks. Just give the players what you feel is an appropriate DC for their skills. The DMG 1 lists Easy, Moderate, and Hard DCs per level, though those numbers have changed over time.

As for picking the right skill, just roll whatever you think makes sense. If a case can be made for an odd use of a skill, allow it. In fact, default to allowing it, unless you really can't see how a given skill applies.

If I have to ask the GM for it, then I don't want it.

Rules Compendium page 126 will give you up to date DCs for each level with three difficulties.

Take a ballpark at how hard a challenge would be for somebody pertaining to the relevant skill and grab a DC from the table.

If you want mechanical effects, you're just gonna have to suck it up and read through the Skills section. (near page 126)
